A true inspiration and great role model that shows kids what you can accomplish with hard work and determination.

What's with that drawing? Why not just use your face, or better yet, the Habs symbol?

Totally. Wish she never made that Mccains commercial with her "family" though.

Hell of a hockey player.

Really to bad the Trolls can't just admit it. Same people who nod along with everything Don Cherry says, this is the one thing they disagree.

Yes I like Grapes too.

Can't believe she was criticized for playing in a men's league. If she can do it, why wouldn't she? She was definitely better payed, and she was breaking barriers at the same time, bringing us closer to equality. She should have been praised! Congratulations on an amazing career, Hayley!

Funny story, my second year of university I had to do an assignment in my Sport Sociology class (yes that was a class) on a prevalent subject. I had heard about this girl playing Midget AA hockey in town (Calgary) and back in the late 80's early 90's that was unheard of. Ended up interviewing this girl after one of her games asking about the future of women in hockey. A 16 year old Haley Wickenheiser talked about Womens Olympic Hockey, playing pro... great foresight.

I wish I still had the interview but the old VHS tape got eaten...
