St.Louis should have been booed out of the building - RoloTahmasee
No he should not, idiot.
Damn we were unlucky that game. Really deserved a win and it would have been so important for us to spiral back into a point-streak. We need to win at .70 in to upcoming games to get back in the race. Otherwise let the Bish&Boyle fire sale going. |

Did Yzerman MC the ceremony, or did he change his mind at the last minute.......? |

John Gove: Game 44 Recap: Bolts Fall to Columbus on Martin St. Louis Night - John Gove
Cmon Drouin do you really think you're going to skate through everyone standing up at the blue line and score the tying goal? Sometimes this kid just tries to do too much Great hands and moves but that type of playing is ridiculous you have 5 other players on the ice to get it into the zone and set up instead it's in the open net behind him. |

Whats he suppose to do there they have like 10 seconds left of the 6 on 4 and all his team mates where in the neutral zone almost flat footed so he came thru with speed and as soon as he took the offensive zone he tried to pass to off to a team mate at the boards but his pass was tipped by a stick. Complaining about Drouin is probably the last thing we should be doing, he has been one of the few showing up. |

Yzerman spoke at the ceremony, after his speech they shook hands you be the judge of the relationship. Yzerman's speech is around the 20 minute mark in the video below.

Pretty sure there was still a minute left in the game. Wait on the line change Enter the zone set up and try to tie the game. Yes the penalty was expiring but you still had the empty net exposed. |

Old man at the game last night said he was a conspiracy type of guy and is convinced that Yzerman and Cooper are purposely having the team under perform so they can sell at the deadline to clear the cap hits to resign the core and load up on picks and prospects to obtain not one but 2 top four d-man.
He is convinced Bishop with go to St. Louis, Filppula will waive and go to Nashville, Boyle to Columbus and one of Garrison or Coburn will be dealt as well.
Crazy old bastard but he was fun to talk to. |

If the team do become sellers at the deadline then Bishop and Boyle for sure will be traded.
Who else could the Lightning move if they are sellers? |

I'd be inclined to look at moving Boyle even if the team isn't going to be a "seller" in the traditional sense. His shooting percentage this year is crazy high, and his perceived value with arguably never be higher. Some team will view him as the last piece and overpay. If Gaustad got a first a few years back, I have a hard time believing that Boyle would bring back anything less. Especially with the dearth of sellers out there this year. |

Hey Mike, hope all is well. You left a hurting emptyness here on HB, but John is doing a fine job filling it now.
On BP-podcast they suggested that Matt Taormina should get a look in the NHL. He is the leading scorer in Syracuse and a big problem for us is that outside of Hedman (and to some extent, stralman) we dont get any points from our defence. What do you think? |
