Noel, I'm happy that you (and Dan) write these kind of blogs. I'm almost positive 99% of the regular posters in your threads agree with what you guys write. It's nice to vent and say what any hockey fan worth his or her salt sees with their eyes every time this team takes the ice.

The saddest part is, though, nobody in any position to do anything about it seems to care. They must of gotten Nurse Ratchett in as one of the trainers because they must have given 91 a lobodomy to even want to stay here (at least that's what he says to the media).

And, even sadder, I'm turning into one of them. The past few weeks, I don't care. I don't watch. I don't even want to watch hockey, period because it's depressing. Instead of building around a guy you give your left nut to get, you give him third liners. You pick up a guy who's had success with him in the past and you waive him after a preseason game. To, bring up two (young) rookies and take turns with them. Flip flopping each one in the press box instead of playing them where they belong.

You run this ridiculous three goalie system when you could have gotten something of value for Halak. His numbers and salary were not bad for a team who needed a starter in the OFFSEASON. And, before he and his agent really killed his value.

I'm done, I could go on, and on, and on, but (frank) it. Why bother? Dan and Noel, I thank you for at least trying.

Way past time for action Noel. Maybe Ledecky and Malkin need approval for changes like Cappy needs approval from Garth on lineup changes? To have Cappy mention mangement in terms of making changes to the lineup should be the last straw for Ledecky and should cause him to clean house today.

Why do I think the Hurricanes have a shot at the playoffs?

They play the Islanders 5 more times this year.

No action will be taken. This team was a disaster at the beginning. Always will be with Jack and GArth around.

They have a shot because Garth and Cappy are not running their team.

It just becomes easier to catch the flyers considering we play mostly non-playoff teams from here on out.

I just hope you guys don't get your poop together before we can start gaining ground.

I agree. Snow's judgment is clouded by his ego. He won't stand for being wrong. Hence the reasons for the Barzal/Beau and 3 goalie debacles. I have no clue what Ledecky could be waiting for to at least get rid of Zippy. Perhaps he's not seeing what we're seeing. Maybe he thinks the team is putting in a good effort and, like Crappy's excuses, are just not getting the breaks. I don't know. I know that I'm tired of this disaster. I couldn't care less at this point if they win or lose. I'll ride out his off-season, but if either of Bert & Ernie are back, I'm done. I won't watch a single game until they're both gone.

How funny would it be if the Isles were the team that kept them out. Not for you, of course, but for us. It really is all we can hope for now. Keeping teams out.

In 2011, on the last day of the season, we had to beat Tampa to make the playoffs.

Didn't.

Florida won their game. Made the playoffs by one point over us.

It sucked.

It would not be an issue if Hamonic was traded for Hall. Isles could have recovered from losing KO and Frans if they had a real GM.

Or if Ladd had turned out to be what he was supposed to, but yeah.

You guys have a LOT of money tied up in depth players.

In a Cap world you are going to lose players. It's what you do to replace those players. Isles have young talent like Barzal and Beau, but Cappy thinks you develop them by burying them in the pressbox.

The contract for Bailey, Grabo, and Kulemin really hurt. At least Casey and Cal are useful players.

Ladd has been bad but maybe more than 5 games with JT would have been a good idea?

I don't recall any Islander fans kicking your garbage franchise while you guys were down. Which has been pretty much the last decade. Relax. We're having a Hurricanes type of year. It happens

Yeah. Feels like Garth is focused on locking up the wrong end of his roster for some reason.

Capuano needs to be fired. Should have happened a year ago.

I am with you Potvin I have all but given up hope with this team. I hardly watch them anymore and refuse to do so until Jack and Garth are removed permanently from the team. They have destroyed them more than help them

Last year if someone would have said I would swap Isles entire roster for one of the bottom teams like Toronto, Winnipeg, Columbus, Calgary, etc. they would have been laughed at. This year that statement is not so funny. How many teams wouldn't you swap entire rosters with? Maybe 2 or 3 at most?
Kind of sums up the job that Snow is doing. And Isles are a cap ceiling team to boot!

Seidenberg should be offered around the league right now, his season this year is remarkable given how the rest have played. A +15 on THIS TEAM? On pace for 30+points?

The rebuilding of this team's 2nd and 3rd lines needs to commence and that includes the Bottom pairing. Hickey or DeHaan are gone due to the expansion draft anyhow.

And I hate to put this forward but if we end up with the 1st overall we take Patrick and consider trading JT for younger wingers. And please look for a coach who can TEACH, not one who demands that all round pegs fit into square holes. And for God sake, go back to a pressure approach! That winning streak earlier was when we got away from worrying about playing tight to the vest and once again we DIDN'T LEARN THE LESSON and have reverted back to that defensive shell approach.

You better be able to develop your own talent when you have a Cap. Good luck trading or signing proven stars. Isles would be in very good shape if they had a proven coach all these years that could develop talent.

It's all about control with Garth and Cappy. Garth loves Cappy because he can control him and Garth has control over coaching decisions. Cappy loves scrub type players because he can control them. He cannot control offensive type players with real talent.

Last night was the first game i just looked at the score and didn't watch it even though I taped it. Its fustrating beyond belief and I've become so apathetic that I don't feel like even complaining on here anymore. Mayfield is up again apparently pulock sucks because he played great in playoffs was sent down for waiver exemption and now will never be called up again. He got a half period was hurt and sent back to limbo. While I'd love to see snow canned no matter who comes in im worried about what asinine move this organization will make at the trade deadline. So help me God if they move barzal or pulock for some middle 6 guy. If they move one it better be for a legit top line winger or I may go postal
