Duran, regarding your question about Ferland, it's looks like he took a knee on knee

Were you happy they took OJ over him? I really hope OJ buys a white Bronco when he moves to Van.

Not one of those guys that complains about the refs, but it's getting kinda stupid now. Hathaway cross check to the face. Then last night tkachuk hit from behind closes to the boards. Ferland kneed right in front of the ref. Jonny G no empty net. Goal. I'm sure there isn't a conspiracy and the refs just missed the call even though they were standing right there watching.

I wasn't really buying in to the conspiracy theories early but now I'm starting to think the refs have made a calculated decision to try and burn us.

They knew they couldn't just hand Wideman a bunch of penalties, that'd be way too obvious. Instead, I think I saw that almost every single player on the flames roster has seen a sizeable increase in the number of penalties they've been called for per game since last year.

I believe the same chart had Wideman's PIM actually decrease. This seems to me like a conscious effort. Why would everyone on the teams PIMs go up except for Wideman?

Lot's of people point to the fact that we draw almost as much penalties as we take. But I'd argue that this team was built to draw penalties. We are a fast, skilled team that drives to the net hard. That kind of game plan is going to draw a pile of power plays for any team.

Edit:
Found the article (its been shared before). Our PIMs per game are way up and our drawn penalties per game are way down. Something fishy is going on, but unfortunately it is going to be tough to prove and I don't know what we could really do about it even if we could prove it...

The Flames still have to play against the Devils on Friday. I hope they aren't overlooking that game.

JH gets mugged every game and nothing from the refs. Not sure if it's Wideman effect or they don't like him whining after the non calls buts it's getting infuriating.

Whats the verdict of Bennett at center? For the last week or so they have been talking on the FAN960 about him being more effective on the wing. I said awhile ago I didn't see him as a NHL center and was chastised for it on this site . I personally think he is better suited for as a winger .. Thoughts ?

Disagree, but don't think he's a bad choice on the wing either.

Would rather see him covering more ice at center. Utilizing his east-west speed more as opposed to the heavy north-south game he plays on wing.

The dude is such a strong skater and only getting stronger on the puck.

Next game he's playing at centre with Johnny and Alex. Then Money with Brouwer and Versteeg.

I would say its too early to tell. Kid is 20 years old. Give him some time to work it out.
