Much rather have 3-3 than a game decided by a shootout.

I couldn't disagree with you more Paul. Which never happens. 3 on 3 is boring if you are a Preds fan. Other 3 on 3 games are very entertaining. The Preds just haven't figured out how to win in 3v3 (apart from last night) so they have resorted to playing a weird defensive style, which is terrible and boring. Example being the game against the Habs where we went in to a triangle defense and let them pass on us for 4 minutes before scoring.

The coaching staff is to blame here. They seem to be the only coaching staff that can't figure out this 3v3 and this is year two. No excuses anymore.

The only cure to finding a winner is sudden death. I would even like to get rid of three point games. A win is a win and a loss is a loss. We'd see some pretty kick ass hockey watching teams avoid overtime. You go to overtime and both teams are losers (so to speak). Overtime is extra time on ice. It's draining. Imagine playing a full overtime or maybe more than one full overtime. Imagine those guys have to play a back to back the next night. We'd see a lot more games end in regulation.

The only hokey scenario I would like be remotely okay with is pulling both goalies for overtime (sudden death). A defenseman (or any skater) could play in front of the net.

Maybe the coaches should play three on three overtime (no shift changes).

I agree with other posters, 3 on 3 is actually rather exciting, lot's of ice for the skill guys creating lot's of back and forth 2 on 1 situations. I would actually prefer they extend the 3 on 3 to at least 10 min, much better than a shoot out.

Regarding the goal they called back, just watched it and yes you got robbed! I am not sure what is happening with these calls, the leafs have had a couple of those this season and it is terribly frustrating.

youre not the only ones. we were playing keep away, passing the puck back to our goalie to change, trying to get to a shootout, where our goalie hasn't stopped one breakaway this year. not one. Oh and we started an overtime with eichel on the ice once. we lost. pat kane scored 1 minute in. bylsma blows.

It was a good result, but not a good game. They just handed a point to a fellow wildcard chaser when Sissons failed to dump the puck in in the final minute of regulation and they almost handed them another when Ribeiro decided to get cute twice in OT, prompting Ekholm to take a penalty. They were extremely lucky to be gifted a shorthanded 2-on-0 in the final seconds of OT.

The waiving of the earlier goal was the correct call, IMO. Arvidsson can't just back into the goaltender like that. We would've hated to have lost because someone backed into Rinne like that.

I agree with Paul. I hate the way the 3 on3 has played out. It is boring and stupid imo. And yes i have watched plenty of other teams play it and its not much different. Has there been some real exciting overtimes? Sure, but as a whole most dploy the skate around and hold the pick tactic.
