Thanks Carol.
It was a decent game last night. Some forwards who throw a hit once in a while would be nice. Not complaining as Benning has team headed in right direction, it will take time.

Thanks Carol, another good blog. I'm curious if management is having any player deployment conversations with Willie?

Should trust in your coach as Carol mentioned with Quenville. No one second guesses his decisions. I guess if the coach is getting second guessed then he isn't doing it right.

This isn't a dump on anyone but more so stating the facts.

This year when Sutter played on the twins line he got raked over the coals by the public and media. Same thing with Megna , and Hansen too have produced little results.

The fact is they are just getting old and it is time to stop blaming others . It will happen to every player sooner or later.

Megna is a third liner. So my expectations of him are low.

I thought Canucks played well last night and this loss falls into the category of you can't win them all.

I thought it was a good effort every line.

Thanks Carol. Awesome as usual. My take on a few things. Could be way off but this is what I gather.

WD solved the mystery of why Rodin didn't play a shift. His answer was he barely could find ice time for his fourth line guys. Yet Megna and Chaput were on for the dagger 3rd goal at the end of the game. So he got that done. Now he says he has to see what he has in Rodin before he even thinks about Boucher. Okay guess we will wait for injuries. This side show aside biggest concern is on D. No call ups as they got caught hoping either Tanev or Hutton can go.

It's amazing how they keep getting beset with injuries. You mentioned this often.

New found respect for Sbisa. Short on D he played a ton. GG sent his checkers after him for errors. But he stood fast. Took a pounding and kept going.

Edler held the fort but made a mistake on timing that led to the game winning goal.

Stecher had some rough shifts on the two goals against with coverage. But he pushed the offense and came up short for his fiesty effort.

Biega. Was solid. Like a back up tender he's ready to go. He can give you so much though.

Tree. He keeps growing. He's got fight in him. Wants to be a difference maker at both ends of the ice. Hope he's okay as he was caught awkwardly by a well timed Ferland hit.

I really hope canucks trade Edler, or at the very least expose him so we dont lose Sbisa, not only has he impressed me alot this season, but sounding like hes making it comfortable for Tryamkin, thats the kinda guy you want to stick around

Not going to be popular in here with this comment but i think WD made a good adjustment from game to game ...I thought the Canucks were much better at preventing the flames D from getting the puck out ...Friday night the flames D seemed to be able to take Canucks dump ins and turn them into quick exits and then dump it in and hem the Canucks in most of the game ...last night the Canucks did a much better job of preventing the flames D from doing this ...wingers seemed to be anticipating where the flames D were going to go with the puck and in turn hemmed the flames in a lot .... it's either a good coaching adjustment by WD ...or the players just figured it out on their own ...I'm going to give WD some credit here

Haven't you heard Columbus is the new norm. No first line, just rolling 4 lines all game long. I kind of like it actually. If Van can get 9 second line players that all score around 50 points a season.
- manvanfan

Aren't we doing that here? Only difference is our players either suck or are too old. Wait isn't that the same? Doubling down then.
But hey Nucks took CBJ to OT right?

I don't even mind if he stays one more year. No use bringing in a coach that can't have full say.

WD said it was a better effort. Why the difference. But who knows maybe he's too humble to take creadit or cagey to reveal game plan.
