Great write up as alwas Jammer.

Right now I am renaming the Blues the St. Louis Excuses, because that is all that they give and coach hitchcock is always prepared with one before a game on why they might not succeed, instead of why they should. After the Winter Classic the game will be tough because blah blah blah. The Canes have an interesting roster and should never be taken lightly, but all the same that was a highly winnable game. Sure a lot of illness and all of that, but this team just lacks enough heart to pull them through most games. They are generally getting crushed at the center position on two lines, one of which is one of the most important lines.

Makes it hard to stomach and watch these guys. Allen can be great or below average on any given night. Why on that first goal he bought the pass when it was covered is beyond me.

Oh well. Just hope they get it figured out when it matters. Perhaps they are just saving it for the play offs.

I wish someone would have asked Hitchcock if he still thought the too many men on the ice penalties were not an issue. Pretty sure they are still at or around the top of the league in those. ugh.

I don't miss seeing this.

Edit: It was probably a sauce pass that took a deflection but I couldn't see it in the gif so it didn't happen.

Guess i should have put that Allen is essentially on paternity leave if you will. I figured Blues fans were aware and didn't mention it originally.

Great first period by him, hopefully he can keep it up and play like that consistently.

Fabbri needs to put that on net with two forwards crashing the net rather than trying to force the pass into traffic

He used his speed well in that game. I almost wanted him to stay on the ice when they had the goalie pulled because I think he wins the race and keeps from any icing happening.

They show some heart and they win. The stay in the battle and they win. They over come some sloppiness, which is going to happen against a team like the Stars who have a tremendous amount of offensive talent.

But he Stars you need to bea5. The did and good for them. It makes harder and harder for the Stars to make the play offs.

Wish they would do the same to the Preds and keep them out of the dance. Both of those teams scare me more than others that are slotted in now.

The Blues are essentially like the Stars right now with goaltending being questionable.

Yeah but we haven't been getting much better than that. If we were getting the same goaltending this year that we were last year, we'd be leading the division right now.

Going to be one of those games. No matter how often I see it, it looks weird.
