Can someone clarify for me...for the Vegas expansion - which players DONT have to be protected...once that list is done, how many can we protect.

and....is Vegas limited to taking so many from any ONE team? basically how many players can ONE given team lose ?

Unless Beauch is traded or waives his NMC, they have to go 8 skaters since we have to automatically protect Beauch, EJ. That leaves Barrie and Zads for protection.

Is there another buy out window before the expansion draft? If so with Iggys salary coming off the books it might make sense to buy out Beauch. Would be a 1.5 mil hit for two years.

I think there is one but hes a +35 contract, either way his 4.5m cap hit is stink with that team, buyout or not so just keep him if he willing to waive that NMC

That would be a huge risk. Better to trade him than lose him for nothing.

never, he would be gobbled up in a heart beat and Avs would be the laughing stock of the NHL for leaving him exposed.

If they dont want him, trade him.
