Over view :
NYR wins a few ...fan base Doest go & make reservations for the P O's ?

NYR loses 1 to a weaker team cause they didnt play hard.....

Fan base is sure : HANk is done ?
Team is not going to PO's same story as last yr?
G man Staal Klein are done......
Team has no heart -head-fists-toughness- regularity .......

Get my drift: Fan base attitude /expectations are a reflection of there state of mind in life ...PRETTY SUCKY if u ask me......

Get a life a view and an open mind to the reality of whats real & what have you tried to manufacture.... your only a fan not a knowledgable insider who KNOWS what we need & how to do it.....

Tired of negative conjecture ...which means mean spirited B S ... L G R

Bounce back .no 2 ina row .... PHilly & then streak busters in Ohio

Jan,

Tell me I am wrong for saying that, going into the third down 3-1 coming off the Holden goal, the Rangers might have had some momentum to start the third until Vesey took an extremely lazy hooking penalty along the boards. To me that killed everything, and Buffalo scored on the PP to kill what little momentum the Rangers had to start the period and basically put the nail in the coffin.

If the guy who made that play was wearing #10 on his jersey he would have been stapled to the bench for the rest of the game, however Vesey didn't miss a shift and AV continued to roll 4 lines for what seemed like the rest of the game. (I stopped paying attention when they couldn't get a shot on goal for the first half of the third period)

This is what bothers me, you can't send a message to some and not others for lazy play and mental errors.

No need to get into the defense because as you mentioned, all 6 played like crap.

Doesn't mean sweet (frank) all, but I think you guys will wipe Philly.

The quote about preparation got another gig by AV??? Who does that fall back on, him or the players or both? Surely someone asked him why the (frank) that happened - unprepared???

When does AV need a new contract?

Dundee, you want to blame Zucc there as well, fine by me. He most certainly could have done a better job of retaining that pass and hustling after it went off his stick. For edification, just about everyone else took Klein to task on that play, so not as if I am making something up. Plus you should know I call out everyone, not just a handful when mistakes are made. Those who make the mistake get highlighted, not just a handful.

He's not going anywhere. MAYBE if they got swept out in round 1 or looked overmatched again. MAYBE.

LACK OF Preperation always falls on the Coach but he is not out there taking lazy penalties & not giving enough effort.

I can agree to an extent on if it was Miller, he would have been benched. But AV, as recent as a week ago, benched Vesey, so it's not as if he isn't called out and punished for his mistakes. But it was lazy penalty and killed any shot they might have had to come back.

Jan - I do not feel so bad anymore. First time I've read one of your posts and the tone is disgust. Maybe I'm reading my feelings into your words but your note about miscommunication in game 40 is an indication of that.

I am confused if it is the players or the coach's message at this point. I do not understand how the same issues year after year can continue. I am not call for AV to be fired mid-year, its one game with a lot of season left. But anything other than a Finals appearance he should be fired. I would fire him if we do not win the cup this year but I do not know that Dolan cares enough about the Rangers to want AV gone.

Hopefully the game will be enjoyable tonight...

Wrote that so many times last year, I lost count. Players need to be prepared on their own and from the coaching staff. If it happens once or twice, then it's on the players. Beyond that, the coaching staff has to draw a lot of the blame because the same pattern keeps occurring.

Some disgust, more annoyance. The pattern of issues keeps occurring. But I also realize they had just won three in a row and the sky isn't completing falling. They still are 26-13-1, so while areas need fixing, it's not as if the entire infrastructure is flawed.

As a coach myself, I agree with the bolted text, but he is the boss & the team is his responsibility. Giving that same excuse again & again just isn't something that should be accepted - it's like our old coach praising Rob Scuderi as a great penalty killer, it's all poop! Seems like AV accepts it & moves on?

Agree 100%, the players need a kick up the arse. Is AV's balls big enough for that task?

I agree with you for the most part, however, I am looking at the big picture. Can we win with this team, we have a lot of key guys out so that will not be answered until Nash and Mika comes back, not considering that Buch is a key contributor, he's a rookie.

In the beginning of the year your posted about the fact that the team has gone back to their long stretches without a shot, or offensive zone time. I understand the other team is paid to perform but we just do not have the skill to say, if we need a goal this guy is the guy to get it. So if we cannot keep the puck as a team and we do not have the "IT" guy to get a goal based on his superior skillset, then we're looking at another early playoff exit. I'm not jumping ship, I never will, but I am afraid even with the return of our injured players, we might have seen what this team is. We need 5 goals to win games, that's not playoff hockey.

I amm not impuning your criticism as biased ...just rose colored or tinted

who is the whole that had fault with a cross ice pass on the stick to wide open Zucc/ & what s to fault on that play? he stunk inother ways like most of D
But that play along with the 1st min of 2nd goal again w/Klein is the kill shots

P S read how st louu is not happy in middle ?

NYR willl need a top pair right D to have shot at going in P O's not G man
will ahve to trade top yg wing talent to secure ?

how bout Step & klein for shatty & Borland ?

It falls on him, that's the bottom line, your right. I am a AV defender more than most but the sh!t starts have to be addressed by him.

if we had won 5-0 last night it would have meant squat come playoff time

they didn't show up last night for a January 3rd game.

If they don't show up for a game April 20th, then the coach needs to go
