Not sure if Condon is going to be our #1 from here on out with Hammond injured (for the record I would be fine with that -- he's been really good on most nights)
However it could make sense to pursue someone like Brian Elliott -- the guy we traded for Andy -- who is on an expiring contract and has lost his starting job to Chad Johnson.
Probably wouldn't cost us more than a 3rd rounder (Flames traded a 2nd and conditional 3rd to get him) and would give Calgary some cap relief. Also he's only owed 1.4M for the rest of the season so not burning too big of a hole in Uncle Eugene's trousers. |

Ie never been a fan of Elliot. I think his numbers were wildly overinflated in ST. louis, as demonstrated by his poor play in Calgary.
I'd take a hard pass on him. |

Love him or hate him, the guy was one hell of a hockey player!
It was surreal being at the Sharks/Sens game last week seeing 25/11/4 all in the 1000 games played club. At the same time, its nice to see the new core of players taking over (Karlsson, Stone, Hoffman, Turris)
All that being said, big 2 points on the line tonight. Hopefully we don't have a lackluster performance as the window to catch MTL is wide open and we need to take advantage before the bye week |
