Anyone know if Linden has told the media that he knows the team is bad yet to appease Lefty ?

I'd like to see Gillis get one more shot. I am sure he has learned his lessons, and I think he made some real inroads with his last draft. For all his warts, he did spearhead the greatest 5 run history of this hockey team, and I think that deserves a second chance. How Garth Snow is a GM after being a goalie coach is one of hockey's greatest mysteries.

what does it matter? people just read into management's words what they want to hear (even when 2 years of decisions don't support their view.)

It's funny... It's really damn hard to find a GM candidate that excels in all areas of the job: amateur scouting, professional scouting, contract negotiations, trade negotiations, salary cap management, analytics, dealing with the media, etc. Gillis was generally good at contract negotiations (his background as an agent helped), but struggled in a lot of other areas, especially amateur scouting.

Benning's strength is amateur scouting but has his own deficiencies elsewhere.

Both were sh!t at dealing with the media

If Hall had of run into Tryamkin instead of Larsen would we be talking about his concussion?

Thanks Carol, good blog as usual. I agree definitely a tough hit to watch and the ensuing scrum above his unconscious body was even worse.
Glad to see that Markstrom and Granlund were aware of the danger.

The hit was unfortunate but I don't think you can reasonably call the hit dirty.

Gudbranson was brutal last night and it has nothing to do with Hutton or anyone else being his partner. Watching him get walked around regularly is bad enough but he was also getting out muscled by guys like Palmieri along the boards and in front of the net.

I like the guy and that he is willing to defend his teammate but he has really struggled on the hockey side of things.

Do you blame him for the Canadian dollar drop and the exact same percentage drop of all the Canadian franchises also.

I think Benning is just trolling the extremely gullible and less intelligent members of this fan base. Personally, I can read between the lines when linden and managment give interviews but it's a challenge for some
- CanuckDon

Maybe he's just (frank)in with us but I'm too stooopid to catch on?

Gudbranson is a bottom pairing guy. Its to bad because he brings some stuff to the team. Tryamkin is already better and wont have to be resigned for 5 million a season. Deal gudbranson, edler and tanev so we can get this rebuild in full swing.

And yes i saw the benning interview and know none of what i said will happen

Oh no, we lost again!

Trade the coach, fire the defense, waive the GM...

Some just like to pick and choose when to believe mgmt.

Not going to trade any more picks to get better, yup I believe because I agree with that stance.

Not going to trade players for assets, nope you guys are stupid if you believe everything he says...

Interesting few days for Canucks. The little engine that good mentality from Saturday hit a wall; or was that a Hall frieght train in the Newark tracks last night? Linden and JB stoke the rebuild, retool, compete fires with comments on not asking to waive no trades. So what should the focus be? What do the great HB minds want?
