I think he is probably the most valuable deadline trade target though, which I think prices him above where you stated you'd like the BJs to pay. Center depth is something most teams covet and would pay for.

I'd stay away from Hanzal, the thing is are cap situation is a mess (unless chayka is interested in another zombie player like Clarkson) we owe the Canucks a 2nd for gross incompetence , and this is team is nowhere near contending for a cup.

The Coyotes have had a history of dealing players for a King's ransom. They got a ton for Yandle, Vermette, and now seeking at least a 1st rounder for Hanzal I presume. For the Jackets, you have a good thing going. Don't pay that steep price. He ain't worth it.

I think you underestimate a team that has a "us against the world" attitude... look at all the idiots in the media who predicted the BJs would miss the playoffs and be a bottom feeder.

the BJs are for real imo... i'm hoping they make some moves at the TDL and put themselves in a position to bring a cup to town. Then Torts can shove it into everyone elses face.

Torts is worth the 2nd rounder so far. Turned the team right around and has them playing quality hockey.

He's a valuable player but he is made of glass. Most games in a year over the last 6 seasons is 65.

Better not give up too much for him.
