#1 Available Rental?
Can someone please explain this whole rating list for me? I never understood it. For starters, what is the variable determined to quantize each player? How did Ek come to this conclusion of this list, what is the method used predict each player? I could give some example, #1 years left on contract, #2 skills/points, #3 veteran leadership? There could be a set of data points (3 examples given above) to use with statistical analysis of this current set to test against past data to determine which players are more ought after then others.
All of this is purely based on opinion, in my opinion (jokes). Jarome Iginla was already dealt this way when he was younger, are you sure it will be the same mania behind him now? Why is Shattenkirk #2 then? He is a franchise player that deserves to stay in St. Louis. He has he has on year left in contract, he has skill, and he is not veteran. Jarome makes more sense than Shattenkirk, I agree, but Shattenkirk rumors do not make sense to me at all in any situation. St.Louis should never trade him. |

So the Pens have Cap troubles, so they get rid of one of their cheapest options on defense? Yeah that makes sense Ek |

so if Iggy is the best rental, what does he fetch? The days of over spending at the deadline seem to over, I might be wrong but I think only one first round pick was given out last year ( Chicago for Ladd ) I cant see any team giving up a first for Iggy so maybe a 2nd and a mid grade prospect? |

The Pens could lose both Schultz and Daley after the season. They would be smart to keep him. |

They're too busy trying to extend Kris Russell to focus on actual skilled hockey players. |

So Carey Price is not only going to carry the team into the playoffs, but he is going to be expected to steal 16 games?
Sorry, not buying the hype. I still think Montreal will end up being a borderline wildcard team by the time this season is over. |
