Young dynamic player with a great shot.
Made a ton of Sense to give him a try. Especially when drake went down and versteeg didn't sign.

He even started to look real good before he went down for a few games and then subsequently kinda struggled.

The oilers are fine without him and he needs to be playing.

Send him down for full time hockey

Whatever pairing klefbom is on is the first- the others are just mix and match 2a, 2b- trying to play to strengths now that we're missing both Davidson and nurse

What happened to the pairing of Klefbom and Larsson? I thought they were solid on the first pairing together?

They played a stretch where they were real solid. Been abit uneven at times too though.

It's not a slap in the face to larsson really. It's just attempting to use the depth and even out the pairings.

Benning is on the first pair with klefbom for example. Kids got some skills and is decent, but he's certainly nowhere near a top pairing guy at present

Klefbom and larsson will be together again. Even for stretches before we're 100% healthybi bet

The Oilers are an exciting team with firepower and are getting good goaltending. Why not trade him to get solid veteran role players.

I have a problem placing Russell on the 1st pairing but by ice time we should expect that duo to lead.

Crazy talk

Our right side is thin beyond eberle.

We ain't makin a real run this year anyway. The roster is solid enough to potentially get Into The playoffs. But even if it doesn't, u don't make that trade for a short term gain.

He's a bluechipper and One Of the future core players.
We'd deal eberle before him I'd bet. (When he's developed of course )

No WJC, extra time in the AHL with more development stability and less travel chaos is better for the Pulju's development and thus the Oil. Completely understand why they aren't trying to do Finland a big favor on this one. If Pulju has a really strong desire to play for his country then maybe it should have been discussed but I think JP is focused mainly on trying to become a full timer in the NHL.

No, and Mcjesus should have special exemption status from the concussion protocol. Concussions clearly are not in his league.

I haven't followed the Oiler's D very much this year. With Davidson and Nurse back, who draws out? Everything I have read leads me to believe Benning needs to stay in the line up.

Nail 2.0 if they dont send him down to the AHL and provide him with 1/2nd line minutes near the 20 mark. Not sure why keep him up if you're benching him or giving him 10 minutes of play time.

The Oilers are well known for their player development. He'll be a another underperforming 6-7million/year player like Eberle and RNH. At least the new arena is nice!

Thought Oilers learnt their lesson with Draisaitl. Drai struggled in his first year, when he was sent back to junior his offense surged. Had a great training camp and played the first few games of 2015-2016 in the AHL and look what he is now.

Fayne and Benning will likely sit for Nurse and Davidson. If either struggle Benning will be back most like.

Send either Slepyshev or Puljujarvi down. Preferably Puljujarvi, kid needs some seasoning.

*having said that watch him score a hat trick tonight*
