The volume of chances that Sheary has been able to generate outweighs the fumbling of the puck right now.
Exactly. Completely agree. |

What possible destinations do you see for Fleury? |

So to the giant Flower in the room... is he even tradable anymore? What do we have to give up with him for a team to eat his contract? He is sadly looking so bad this year his past career may not hold much value to offset the present
edit: And this isn't to be super anti-Flower or boo hoo... If I was any other GM, why would I take on his contract? Arizona is a thought since they eat contracts for draft picks, but they are maxed and can't do that. Also the extreme likelihood of them being on his 12 no trade clause list. |

Anyone know the exact number of games this year where the Pens have been down 2 or more goals and come back to tie it (and either take the game to OT) or win? |

RW, I believe Shearys pass to Crosby was originally intended for Hornqvist and not an area pass to Crosby. The Ottawa player got a piece of the puck to slow it down.....none the less, end result was a beauty of a goal |

The return doesn't look like it will be much at all (if any), but when dudes like Lehner & co got decent midround pick, I'm sure there will be a team in need of a goalie
Its such a weird situation, 4-goal's stats look so bad that the only way to improve them would be to play him more (and raise his value), but that goes against the idea of giving the job to Murray. Could it be the ideal time to trade Fleury has passed and the negotiations with CGY, etc last offseason were thwarted by James seeking too high of a return?

I agree. I think JR did over value MAF with Calgary but this thing is still not over yet. I think Jimmy is banking on somebody needing a goalie at some point this year and because of that, they still have to split playing time. Its not like the Pens are floundering and MM has to play every game. Not that MAF is going to bring in a haul but if he is on the bench he brings even less. |

No chance of a first... you're giving us back another flaming pile of crap that has been doing downhill for awhile. At least with Flower its his first down year after a handful of good ones, he shouldn't be done. |

Not sure about the first, maybe a second or third. But moving Fleury to Vancouver makes a lot of sense. Fleury can still be a #1, but he his ego is so fragile that he needs to be THE #1 or else he's constantly looking behind him and he becomes a $5.75 million sieve.
Miller is no longer a starter in the NHL, and hist contract is only for a year. Moving for him allows the penguins to protect Murray.
Still, I think a first is a bit steep to take a serviceable goalie who can still steal games in the right conditions with Miller being what's going back. If the Canucks want a first I would think they would have to include a decent prospect. |

That was definitely an entertaining game. I liked all the goals but Rusty's penalty shot and Kessel's wrister were at top of my list. Eight goals? Are you kidding me? |

That was a crazy hockey game.. Imagine if the PK comes around how well they will look.. They obviously can skate with anyone 5v5 but once the playoffs begin and special teams often dictate the outcome, I hope the PK can be a force again... This poop is entertaining though.
I also totally agree that this is Matt Murray's team now.... They will still get something for MAF at the deadline, just not as much as they want... So be it.... |

Buries Fleury while ignoring Murray was below average his last two starts. Play the hot hand. Simple as that |

Gawd no... I knew it was only a matter of time before Buffalo turns on Disco. Terrible coach with even worse luck. It seems all of our injury issues over the years were directly related to Dan's bad luck. They seem to follow him. |

Monday’s game was already the 13th time this season (in only 26 games) where they have faced a two-goal deficit at some point in the game when they trailed 4-2 midway through the second period. They have now won six of those games, and are 5-6-1 when they have trailed after two periods. In one of those regulation losses they actually overcome a three-goal deficit, tied the game, and then gave up the winner in the closing minute.
