I do agree JJ most concerning to me is the play in our own end and inability to win board battles and block shots

Purcell clears. Moen retires. Duclair on block for a center. Everyone is now caught up

Surprised Purcell cleared. He's not that pricey and has had a good track record for 6 or so years.

With Toews on IR, and now Crow, does that give us cap relief, or does it have to be LTIR?

Sorry gentlemen, I added Crow to my hockey pool and he was doing great, but I see my "luck" catches up to everybody. Appendicitis, fuk who could have predicted that one. At least he only had one...

Re: Purcell, heard there may have been a little talk with another team, pre-waivers. Possible it continues. Checking to see immediate plan.

Trade possibilty with a Hawks dman perhaps?

In Panarin's BH magazine interview, they asked him to name the most impressive player he has played with, and he mentioned Dadonov.

Can't remember if he is the one who can buy out his contract in December, but if so, may be an option? Sounds like Panarin would enjoy playing with him again, and maybe that would give him even more incentive to re-sign here.

I'm surprised Hino wasn't on the way down as well. There are so many shifts where he struggles in his own end. I think right now the Hawks could use two call ups or fill ins that can defend and win draws instead of Hino or Schmaltz right now. Both guys get schooled badly at the dot and need to work on their D.

WPG is a much better club than the one the brutalized the Hawks a couple weeks ago. Little is back as is Perreault. Schiefelle though was out sick in their win at STL yesterday. Guess he's a game time decision.

Hino is a rookie so mistakes are expected. His problem is not effort like Schmaltz and with Hossa and Hartman the line has been ok. ......... But your point has validity now that Crow is down. Maybe Motte gets those minutes as Q likes his defensive game.

Hey Pdx enjoy your posts...Shipachyov is the center on that line...I don't recall what his status is...thought he resigned...didn't know if he was eligible to come over?

But imagine if the Hawks could get one or both of the other two..
Take a look

Meanwhile Mr. R is telling like it is...The Peg put it to the Hawks the other week and now they're more healthy. Could be a long evening at the UC.

Watch out JJ...

You're sounding somewhat pessimistic here and the comment police have been making the rounds of late.

There is probably a reason, and maybe a good one, that Purcell didn't stick in LA. I still think he is a very skilled player and can shoot the puck well. Doan?....

The idea of challenging someone for being too negative isn't being "policing" or controlling....its a completely fair thing to debate. There shouldn't be anything wrong with getting challenged for being too positive or too negative, or joking around/being sarcastic about someone being too positive or too negative. The problem is some people are too sensitive.

Just the other week i posted something explaining that the Hawks fan base is spoiled because of the success we've had. And that far too many fans are overly critical.

Someone responded by essentially saying I was claiming to be better than everyone else.

Too sensitive.

I'm not better than anyone at anything just for being an optimistic Hawks fan, the point is that its a valid argument to suggest that this fan base is spoiled and several posters are too negative/gloomy.

Why is this such a bad thing to say? Its debatable just like everything else. IMO, most Hawks fans and many posters on ALL fansites(not just this one) are overly critical.

Sorry if that hurts anyones feelings or makes them feel like they're not free to speak or debate the concept.

Desi was just awful yesterday, and really has not played well most of the year. I wonder if he's long for the hockey club ....

Thanks! Wow, insta-offensive powerhouse line if we could get them both over here. No prob having four productive lines then. Reminiscent of, if not better than, the chemistry Panarin has with Anisimov and Kane.

Well, you know what expressed opinions are - the forerunner to disagreement and possibly hurt feelings in this very sensitive world we live in.

I think Teddy Purcell sucks! Please discuss.

If he didn't work out in LA he must be done. He's looked done for quite some time. I wonder if he was getting playing time with Kopitar or Carter, or if he was playing a bottom 6 role. But either way he clearly shat the bed and i want no part of him.
