I mean they are a better team, but teams lose to worse teams sometimes, I actually think this was a case of the wings panicked more than just outplayed. Obviously the pens are better but they can't go undefeated a whole season right? The wings should have won this but they blew it

Yes, of course, the Pens are the better team based on record and recent accomplishments. But I thought both Zetterberg's and Nielsen's assessments were fair and weren't trying to discredit the Pens. The Wings are a young team and still learning while the Pens are a veteran team who just won the Cup with essentially the same roster. The Wings were leading and controlling play heading into the third, so there's that.

Fun game to watch. Lots of flow with few penalties. Pens cycling on the forecheck with huge amounts of attacking zone possession with nothing to show for it then quick counter-attack by the Wings, score!

Pens now +15 or +16 goal differential in the 3rd period. Now if they can only show up for the first two periods, they might be on to something...
