Ty Anderson: Rask stops season-high 35 in 2-1 win over Sabres

They're 3-2-1 so far without Chara, which is right in line with their record with him. The defense hasn't been bad. Nobodies going to win a Norris but they're getting the job done. Tuukka looks amazing so far this year... and he's playing with some kind of injury. It's the offense that needs to get going. I can't wait for them to get Vatrano back, and put him with Krejci and Backes. Beleskey's injury looked like a hip/groin thing to me. Hopefully he's not out for long, but if he is Blidh looked like 10x the player Jimmy Hayes is, so hopefully he stays in.

Once everyone gets healthy I really like the options for lines:
Marchand - Bergeron - Pastrnak
Vatrano - Krejci - Backes
Beleskey - Spooner - Czarnik
Schaller - Moore - Nash/Blidh/Acciari

I don't think there was any official reason given... but my guess would be because Jimmy Hayes is not very good at hockey.

Blidh looked better in his first NHL game than Hayes has ever looked in a Bruins uniform.

Because Jimmy Hayes has been nothing but a very large waste of space and CJ would rather have a rookie who actually plays the game instead of a guy who looks better served putting up modest point totals on a huff and puff, 50& older beer league team.

I think the biggest reason the team hasn't missed Chara is because Miller has almost seamlessly filled his role. Gotta give that guy props, aside from getting undressed by eichel, he played a great game. Which is really impressive when you consider hes playing on the wrong side. Morrow and CMiller have also stepped up and played some good hockey. They probably won't do it but I think it's time to phase out McQuaid

Also love Czarniks game. Kid should be in the top 6, I think they should try Krejci centering Vatrano and Czar (remember how good they were together?)and move Backes to 3C. Or maybe have Backes and Spooner share C responsibilities like Yeti/Kelly used to

Well that's good. I'm glad they scratched him again. Keep him off the team, hopefully for good once Vatrano is back.

Let's not forget that other than maybe Pastrnak and Marchand the ENTIRE offense hasn't been "getting it" yet so far this season. Spooner hasn't had the right linemates... he's not going to light it up in the 4th line. And he's a playmaker, so to put him with another playmaker in Krejci doesn't make sense either. I'd like to seem them try a younger more offensive third line in something like Beleskey - Spooner - Czarnik or something along those lines. Or give him a shot with Bergeron and Marchand and move Pastrnak to Krejci's line.

And the "soft as grapes" line is just lazy and dumb at this point. Not every player is going to be a "grinder/banger" type of guy, and Spooner is not that kind of player. You can't have a full team of those types of players. That mentality has to go.

really you can't have a lineup of guys that do their (frank)ing jobs? it's NHL hockey and the "those types of players" thing is lazy and dumb and just not getting it. at all. i never said he had to bang. but he better be strong on the wall, pick up his guy and be strong in the neutral zone. be a good (frank)ing player without the puck. any system demands that. and it's own inability to grasp that that gets mr playmaker on the 4th line. and that's why guys like czarnik and schaeller will gets shots before he does. give me a break.

any time he gets a shot "with the right line mates" he pukes on himself. when can we just admit this kid isn't that good, at all, and doesn't seem to have it between the ears to do what he needs to get "the right line mates".

the not playing with the right people thing is also lazy, stupid and dumb.
