I actually thought Cory looked very sharp last night, with the exception of rebound control. He has been good-not-great so far this year, hopefully he'll get going and we'll keep hanging around.

Also, we've played in an absurd number of OT games this year.

Every year, the Devils have a "thing". Past few years its been worst in league for this and for that (shootouts, etc) - This year its going to be most OT losses.

Zajac is playing out of his mind, hope he can keep it up all year.
Only watched bits and pieces of the game but from what i saw Moore did not look good.

I hate the fact that recently, the havent been defending everyone on ice. They seem to hound the player with the puck while leaving two other guys wide open. Everyone needs to defend their guys. Its not 5 vs 1. Its 5 on 5. Stick the opposition

yeah the only one i blame him on was the 2nd goal, terrible rebound control...I know its CHI but there were way too many times where a forward was coming through center iced untouched that led to a breakaway..it was ridiculous

At times it's really chaotic out there. I don't know if it's missed assignments or poor communication, but you're absolutely right. Each game there are multiple shifts where it looks like pick-up hockey and guys chasing everyone around.

Andy Greene is absolutely regressing this season. He doesn't look like his old calm, cool, and collective self back there. Hope he turns it around.

I think it's time to give Mozik or Santini a peak a boo visit. This poop ain't working on D.

For the $1.25 we're paying Quincey, I like what he's been bringing... but I don't have much love for Lovejoy. This team needs a legit D stud and frankly if I thought we could sign Shattenkirk I'd pony up some picks for him.

Anyone else notice that Lovejoy, Quincey, and Moore all played more TOI than Greene/Severson? I'm not getting it.

Yeah I got to apologize to Travis this season lmao ! I have ripped on him harder then anyone over the past few years ! Dude is having a great season and proving that I'm a dummy

Would love to take a stab at shattenkirk and wouldn't mind overpaying a tad to get him ( so long as it was mostly picks and prospects ). Who else is still available or on the block trouba ? How has he been this season after the hold out !

I am hoping they stick with the same lines.

If this team can maintain what we saw in the first 15-20 min in Chicago for any stretch of time they can win more games. If they can add someone on D, and do that for 60 minutes (be it through a quality rental or whatever) I think they could actually compete.

This team is so close to being really good. We lose virtually every game by a single goal... we just need that one player that'll tip the scales.

The positives are: we are really good on home ice and we've played 5 fewer games on home ice, so I imagine we'll be flirting with 500 when that evens out and with that wild card spot.

I think we just need one more guy to fall from the sky for us. I also wish they'd have sent Zacha down to the juniors. Maybe they see something I don't... I'm just worried that he's a big center and won't play big in the future.

I think we need an excellent skating center like duchene lol could you imagine two players of halls skating ability flying around and possibly playing together ! I think them plus palms would be a hard line to keep up with and a very dangerous one offensively. I know Duchene doesn't have the cannon we lack from anyone but some one who skates equally with Hall lol and not that we have the pieces but it would be something I would love to see ! Pipe dreams and the lack of posts I've made this season are the reason for this comment/post
