Wow! What a great game for Jack. We are starting to believe in ourselves. You can see the way the players on all four lines are looking more confident. They are making better decisions at times (it's still a work in progress) and they are shooting more. Even if they don't all make it to the net, they are taking the shots. The broadcast showed we out attempted them 71 to 48. I can't remember when we attempted 71 shots.

We aren't winning the cup now that Jack's back, but I believe we can come back to fight hard for a playoff spot. No one else in the division is really running away with it. If we can string 4 or 5 wins together lose one and then string another 3 or 4, we are right back in it.

I know its his second game back, but this team is not as bad as most of the doom and gloomers on this blog.

Keep up the good work Sabres, its definitely fun to watch again.

"I think it's safe to say that Derek Grant and Will Carrier have leap frogged Zemgus Girgensons on the Buffalo depth chart."

I would not say either guy is better than Girgensons at this point. Grant reminds me a lot like Dan Paille early in his career and Carrier is just a big body at this stage. Girgs plays with more determination and skill in my opinion, and I'm not ready to give up on him yet.
