I like JVR, but I'm not sure I trade Hammer for him? Would love to move Halak and de Haan for a needed forward. Cappy better not touch these lines for a long while. |

I think I'll change my prediction from 5-1 to 6-1. |

What scares me is this Eichiefs guy and his roll of toilet paper gif.
He's a new guy no? |

Neither Halak nor DeHaan have much value. Definitely not enough to pull in JVR. Now, if you want to package Hammer and maybe 1 of Strome/Bailey/Nelson, then maybe you have something. Imo. |

If you don't need toilet paper on Capital Hill, where do you need it? |

Noel, seriously, Bailey????, Bailey might be the most improved player, but he's not the best. And as much as he has improved, I still find it difficult to watch him avoid "taking the body" at almost every opportunity. |

I agree Halak and de Haan will not bring in a high end wing. Hammer for Hall was the move to make. It's really bad they did not make that deal if Mayfield shows he can play now along with having Pulock. With Pulock and Seidenberg coming back some type of move will need to be made. |

How about Hammer for Taylor Hall? Oh wait... |

6-1 seems likely with Halak and especially if he did not see enough shots during practice. - ses111
Not to mention it's the second day and the Isles blew their wad last night on national tv. I'm seeing a couple softies let in tonight. |

Garth's nightmare is if Mayfield shows he can play and Garth never hears the end of not trading for Hall. |

Great chance for softies regardless with Halak. |

Even if the Isles didn't have options in BPT they should still have made that trade and figured out replacing Hammer at a later time. Hall is an elite winger in the NHL. Hall with JT would have been amazing to see. If you're moving Hammer in a proposed trade for a border line top line winger, maybe you have some hesitation. But there should be no hesitation moving Hammer for Hall, even if you had to add something modest into the deal with Hammer. |
