Didn't Anderson make a ridic save on Meat Read in OT in the last game? May have been a different one I am thinking of |

The Sens are going to have to get back to their stingy D if they want to win games with all these injuries.
Right now is crunch time and the season could go either way.
After Saturday, the schedule is going to get a lot tougher and they have a long road trip ahead.
The Sens need these next two games or else this season could go off the rails pretty quickly.

I agree. This is the hardest test and the most important test the team will have to go through this year. If they play above .500 then whatever comes of it is not irreparable. If they play below 0.500 then it can get pretty nasty quick. Bearing injuries, the senators should focus on defense first as this seemed to work earlier this season. The offense might be pretty low in the following games given the injuries, however, I'd rather see the sens fight games within 1 or 2 goal reach than to win some and lose some by large margins. This test shouldn't be only about wining the games, but also finding consistency in their play and keeping strong to the game plan. If they do that, I see the team surprising a few.

Wonder, would you be in favor of Bobby Ryan for Dustin Brown?
I don't think Sens need the offence of Ryan with Hoff, Brass, Turris, Stone all able to hit 25g 55pts. Not to mention Karlsson.
I like Bobby but so tired of his huge cap hit; Brown also plays on a VERY defensive minded team. He's only got 2 more years of $ then it's peanuts.
edit: 5.9 cap hit much better than 7.3 |

I don't see the point for that trade...Brown will put up less points and the $1.xM saved on the cap won't make melnyk let another player be added...
Need # 1: we need a #4/5 D added
Need # 2: we need another top 6 forward... |

He's actually been pretty good! Plays solid defence, shuts down top lines and kills penalties. He also chips in a bit of goals. Pretty good bargain for 800k |

i'm not one to female dog about officiating but GOD DAMN are the refs ever doing their best to hand this game to the flyers.
multiple BLATANT missed calls against flyers players, at key times, only to call questionable penalties against ottawa right after. |

I know zibbys injured and all but he's been nothing but good for the Rangers ever since joining them. Brass on the other hand... I've yet to notice him in this game |

Indeed, that was the worst reffing "performance" I've seen this year!
I haven't called out the refs a single time this year but that was terrible!
If they would have called that penalty on the Flyers for blatantly holding the stick, they don't score that 2nd goal!
so many calls they just let go... |
