Five questions for tonight’s game:

1) Will history repeat itself on this west coast road trip or will the new look Canadiens, ie: Shea Weber make all of the difference?

It's all on Price as usual...and the PP IMO

2) Will Andrei Markov be forced to once again play over 25 minutes in the absence of Nathan Beaulieu?

Yes

3) Max Pacioretty, Tomas Plekanec and Brendan Gallagher have looked good ever since the former first line’s been reunited. Will they continue to improve and be impactful or will they have difficulty with the Duck’s size?

yes, they will slowly get back to their career average production

4) Will special teams play a significant role in tonight’s game?

Yes, if the Habs want a chance to win they better produce on the PP

5) What will be the final score?

4-3 Canards

the bottom pairing without beaulieu is pretty weak. i think they struggle against anaheim heavy forecheck. they have to limit the turnovers. it's gonna be a close one.

and thanks for the blog.

do you think mete is gonna play for the big club in a few years? with sergachev juulsen and him we could have two really mobile bottom pairings.

There's a lot to like about Mete. He certainly has the speed and wheels to play in the NHL but he'll need seasoning in the AHL. He has one more year of junior and then if he continues to progress a couple of years in the minors before being able to make the jump. Definitely an intriguing prospect and one that will be fun to follow.

seriously? he's a 5'9" dman. miniscule chance that he makes it to the nhl let alone make an impact. I think we can argue that the canadiens are not legitimate contenders until they acquire a real #2 centre.
