Carol Schram: Alex Biega to AHL for conditioning as Canucks lose to Stars, move on to Avs After a 2-1 loss to the Dallas Stars on Friday, the Vancouver Canucks have assigned defenseman Alex Biega to the Utica Comets for a conditioning stint as they prepare to conclude their road trip against the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday.

So after all the moaning you've done, you've settled down to take the 100% exact same position as me. I think the only difference really is I'm way more patient than you.

I just like to female dog and complain during the process, and I'll continue to do so, because that's my right.

I consider this game do or die for Willie D, I have the feeling that unless he wins and wins convincingly, he's going to be let go. The sad fact is, it really isn't all his fault, the Sedins just aren't first line players any longer and they have no one behind them to protect them so that they aren't focused on. It doesn't help that JB has stacked the team and the farm with grinders and what skill we did have was traded away.

Like I said in the last thread, it's time to make a clean sweep of the organization, from TL down. I'd like to see everyone fired from Trevor Linden down and JB demoted to either AGM or Head of Scouting and then start completely over. This team needs a new vision, one that doesn't include worrying about playoffs or Stanley Cups and one that focuses solely on regaining respectability.

The fact of the matter is, save for Boeser, Demko, OJ, Hutton, Stecher, Horvat, Tryamkin and possibly Virtanen, there's no one on the team I would consider worth keeping at this point. And even with those above, if the right deal came along that would give us a highly touted prospect or lottery pick in return, I'd do it. I'm of the mind that we need to stop trying to emulate other team's success and try to find our way and own style of play that works.

The fact that we have the worst travel in the NHL is always going to hold us back. We suffer more injuries to our players than the NHL average and I truly believe that's because of the travel we have to do. The fact that we play in the Western Conference and Pacific Division that has 3 really physically aggressive teams is also a hold back.

tl;dr I don't have the answers, but I think it's time to try something new and completely out the box.

Agree with the above post except for the fact that I think its ownership who is making the call. I dont see a need to fire linden as i dont think he has any say at all in operations or directions of the team.

If we could steal Tallon out of Florida and have him as GM and Benning as Assistant/scouting director.

At the end of the day ownership needs to realize the team is finished and needs to fully rebuild while we can still get assets for edler, hansen, tanev, miller, burrows, etc.

Our old system worked perfectly. Just, because we lost one game ownership thinks that we have to change the whole organization.

And just for the record, there's not a snowballs chance in hell you're more patient than me! I'm married to a woman who's fuse is shorter than Marwoods and I've got two daughters, they'd all be dead if I wasn't a patient man

Do you think Benning would be okay with having someone else come in to be GM though?

Coaches come and go, but, you can't keep flipping managers every two years. The organization needs stability!!

Diagnosing your menopause is not exactly having a 'short fuse'.
