Don’t think home ice advantage is important?

The Golden Knights.... How long will it be before they drop the golden and just go with Knights?

Got me thinking about the expansion draft though. It looks to me like we're looking at losing Edmundson or possibly either Perron or Lehtera. There's no way around losing a pretty good player but I think we would be better off by dealing Shatty in a package for a good second line player like Bozak for instance, who we could still protect, then if it looks like we're going to lose Edmundson, deal him before the draft for some picks or other protected assets. I'd like to force Mcphee into taking Lehtera if possible. Quality centers will probably be the hardest players for him to acquire.

There was a play where Backes got a pass open in the slot. At first I was like no, no and then I realized it was Backes. In the split second before he shot I was relived and the relief was confirmed when his shot hit the glass to the left of the goal. lol. If that dude hit the net with half the shots he takes tha miss the net....

Meh. Second night of a back to back, away, with Tim Peel officiating. NHL should just schedule a few less games for the Blues each year and not make us waste an evening watching a game they were never going to win and didn't bother showing up to.

I wonder if Sattenkirk to Tampa gets revisited closer to the trade deadline.

I was laughing when I read in the Hockey News that Shattenkirk is the Blues bes defensemen because of his point total. lol

Armstrong should not wait too long as Shatty has a pattern of starting off high in the point total.

Ol' Clock Work Orange must be happy. He is proven right by JayBo's play last night.

While you cannot pin the three goals against on him he takes some big responsibility in them.

One you have a two on one break and the puck carrier is Ovechkin do you not take the shooter or the pass away and instead stay in no man's land? Or two do you force the shooter to pass even if it leads to a short break away for the other player? Or do you take the oass away and allow Ovechkin to get a clean look?

In this case you take Ovechkin and let the cards fall where they may and why? Because he is right now the most dangerous goal scorer in the league consistently. So failing to recogonize that and act puts the goal a bit on JayBo's shoulders.

A couple of other chances that led to goals and has recenetly led to scoring chances has been because JayBo has had opportunities to stand up on the puck carrier but has backed down way too much and allowed sizable gaps in coverage.

This is the hit on him when he is at his worst he backs way too much up. But then you see him against top notch players like Marchand and he keeps up with their speed and skill and nullifies them. At these times he skates with speed backwards and remains close to the player.

It has a lot to do with pairing of him and Petro that for some unknown reason keeps the two together.

Shattenkirk again anad again has made lazy plays when it comes to puck retrieval and the break out. He used to be a top of the line defender because he was a first pass king and led to great break outs. But yet again he forces a bad pass that gets picked off in the slot. His play on the power play was lazy and uninspiring. He was standing still way too much like the rest of the unit. It makes it way too easy to defend. They must have movement. That should mean he moves across the ice and Perron and Fabbri should be switching in and out to create chaos.

Lehtera is a terrible choice because he is the puck retriever and he lacks the speed to and strength to get the puck in the corners. His over reliance on a back handed pass with video today makes him easy to cover and predict.

Lindbohm assigned back to the AHL.

Saving cap $? Or Edmundson coming back off IR this weekend?

OV now has 23 points in 14 games and 13 goals in those 14 games. He also has consecutive hat trick games against the Blues

I know sick.

Lindbohm is too good to not be an NHL regular.

Apparently the Leafs are in the market for a defensive defenseman. Take your pick Toronto: Gunnarsson or JayBo. No reason for Lindbohm to not be in the line up.

Will take Peter Holland back but I want you take Lehtera as well.

I'd rather see Ferraro than either Broadziak or Lehtera.

The Rangers apparently have over ten million in cap soace at the trade deadline. i do not know how in the hell that is figured out. But the Blueshirts have a number of interesting cheap pieces with speed. Shatenkirk to the Rangers.

Buchnevich's injuries make me really nervous about him but otherwise I really like him as a young player.
