Some observations for discussion:

- The Sens must lead the league in allowing a rookie to get his first NHL goal. Seriously someone check because it seems to happen way more than normal.

- They have a terrible win/loss record on nights when they have a ceremony before the game.

- They play terrible in afternoon games.

- There seems to be a roster-wide problem with making a proper pass. Ceci in my opinion has been the greatest offender so far this year, but it's getting stale watching guys put little effort toward a proper tape to tape pass.

- Is there something wrong with the ice at the CTC? Have you ever seen pucks bounce and roll more for a team?

- What is with the team-wide inability to hit the net with a shot? They miss high, right and left and the puck immediately goes out of the zone on an odd-man rush.

- Is it against the law for our forwards to turn towards the net on a powerplay? You can't shoot at the net when you are facing your own D. Our forwards seem to come out of the corners never even thinking of pivoting and shooting.

- I get that they are focusing on team D right now, but Karlsson is not driving the offense like last year because he is not carrying the puck enough. Not sure that taking your offensive engine and reducing him from 3500 rpm to idle is a good idea and may be the main reason our goal scoring has dried up.

Anyways, hopefully they get their act together soon.

Crazy eh!? I've been saying that for years! So many newbies get their 1st career goal vs the Sens!!

At least there's only 1 afternoon home game this year and it's the last one of the year...

I agree with your observations. The one that baffles me most is the powerplay. The puck bearing forward is too low (below or on the goal line) and isn't really a threat to score, and the option of the cross crease pass is highly unsuccessful because they're hesitating, which makes it telegraphed and easily blocked or intercepted.

SENS, middle of the pack team, with middle of the pack draft...bad owner (which kinda sent a message to fan that the team deserved better attendance since they're doing great)....WHAAAAAT

No outdoor game maybe

Who wants to pay 50+$ to watch your team score one goal??? LOL

SENS' been an ok to bad team for a decade...sick of this

Yup, I'm as negative as this team man

Its hard to win when the team isn't hustling...
We've had lots of players in our history who are extremely talented but don't necessarily score points by really taking it to the opposition. Would be nice to have a Wayne Simmons/Corey Perry/David Backes/Andrew Ladd type player to set an example for our team. Not to take anything away from Alfy or Karlsson or any of our other players. I loved Stone going to the net that night we stole the game from the Kings and IMO we need a little more of that to complement our shooting forwards and create some chaos in front of the net.
