Do you just wait until the post dispatch updates on game day and then just use their post?

I'm curious why you would think that, especially today. I rarely, if ever, read the post dispatch game day posts. Once you posted this, i did go look at the PD posting for today.

If you are thinking this because we all have the same game time decision lineup information with Steen and Tarasenko maybe being out and Bortuzzo maybe in, the reason we all have this is because the Blues put out that info.

For example -

Of course, when i share this info via twitter, I do it by re-tweeting the team's tweet rather than typing it out as my tweet. For me, the latter makes it seem like I am taking credit for their info as mine and that I didn't source the info appropriately.

Remember, everyone is pretty much using the same information sources except for individual interviews which is going to create a lot of people putting out similar info.

There is a lot of stuff that is unique to mine vs theirs - mentioning the Sharks are undefeated against the Central this year; the impact of a win from a standings stand point; how the Sharks won their tough road games but lost the one that was expected to be easy. Heck JR is now posting something I posted a while ago that still remains true - Allen has been much better at home. I noticed this and posted about it a number of games ago but he just now picked up on it.

Perhaps your comment relates to more to actual timing. If so, you might want to consider that most of us here have other full time jobs and that this is essentially a hobby that takes a back seat to a full time job.

So the Sharks have barely been drawing any penalties this year. So far they are drawing a lot.

I want to know why that is and why so far where I am at the Blues have only one pp.

I just watched Hertl grab a player's stick while he was on the pp. No call. Thorton draws a call for holding the stick when he was hooking.

Then the Blues cannot clear because of Hertl's play leads to the Blues getting a 5-3. But no call ont he high stick on Broadziak. What in the hell????

What is going on?

That hit on Steen the other night right in front of the ref and no one sees that?

They finally call interference. But I am sure that should have been the call. ???

You're complaining about the refs? Come on man, bad calls went our way too... that interference by boedker? and then perron grabs vlasics jersey and falls and vlasic gets a penalty?

Good game as usual vs the Blues but you guys won the special teams battle and won the game. Cant go 0 for 6 on powerplays and expect to win...

Yeah I mentioned that penalty on boedeker. So I was not looking at it one way guy.

Yes I complain about the reffing as it seems especially atrocious this year no matter which game I am watching.

Hell I will go even further Broadziak took two obvious oenalties at the end of the game and only got called for one. It should have been a 6 on three for the Sharks to end the game with a 1:40 left. Or does the delay of game count because the whistle would have gone when he touched the puck?

There was more to the Vlasic call than that, but the call of Jaskin when Thorton stuck his stick between is legs and he gets called for holding the stick? Thorton is as dirty a player a his beard.

I have a special hate for San Jose. Last year was just one of the many reasons.

Don't give Jammer crap. His cat does not get stuck in trees for days at time with neighborhood vigils for the poor cat. He does not put out stupid information. He always provides many thoughtful nuggets about the teaam and the league.

Jammer considering he does not have oress credentials does a better job at this than guys who actually have this as their full time jobs.

Jammer how bad is that Steen extension looking right now? Another head injury. Perron scores more with less time at half the price.

I am thinking people have to be liking that Perron signing right about now.

The Blues PK is absolutely legit. It got me thinking that maybe Allen does better on the PK because he knows where the players will go and isn't guessing on his positioning. The one goal JayBo absolutely screens him. Sometimes this shot blocking thing is too far. You are not the goalie, don't stand at the top of the crease like you are unless you stop the puck.

Wasn't a big fan of the Steen contract when it was signed and haven't seen much to change my mind on it since then.

It's one of those tough contracts, kind of like Backes. They've been putting in work for years at less than market value. Now you've got to tell them you're worried about paying market value because of their potential decline. You've got to think about what it looks like to the younger guys in the organization too.

It's hard to say what the right move would be, if we let him walk the team is worse right now (while healthy), just like it is without Backes. This is a team that may not be favoured to win the cup, but is at least a dark horse. It's hard to drop another piece of the core, even if letting him go puts us in a better position in the next couple years.

I think the difference between Backes and Steen is that Steen's skills may degrade a little more gracefully than Backes'. Need to be healthy to play the game though.
