I guess macarthur practiced with the team yesterday (wearing the blue no contact jersey). no tinted visor and apparently looked pretty good. would be big if we could actually get him back playing. hopefully he doesn't rush back though..........health is more important than the team

Nice blog Jared. Had a laugh at the "failed upwards" bit, haha.

Cold AHL goalie in to start the second. Not a recipe for success.

Hammond needed to play well tonight. Disappointing.

And to top it off Chiasson got the apple on cgy 2nd goal

Maybe I'm too picky but the camera is terrible. Main camera should not move every time the puck moves

Well I have to say even if we lose the Sens have looked like a different team for the past two games. We completely outplayed the Flames tonight.

Drieger is absoluetly terrible.

I am thinking of the old Torts 75% comment right about now.

Except it's more like 50%.

(1) Dion Phanuef - I don't get why he was booed. I mean he played for Calgary but that was like 7-8 seasons ago. Get over it?............anyway -- at some point this contract and this player will be getting A LOT of criticism. I don't have beef with him as a #4 D-man but when you're making $7M, how can you justify his offensive output? Phanuef isn't as solid defensively (as say a Methot) to justify a contract like that. Even 5M would be a lot but SOMEWHAT tolerable. The reason it was accepted was because you got rid of a ton of $ with Cowen and Greening BUT eventually this WILL be a BIG topic.... I mean you could loose one of Methot or Ceci because he's here

(2) Goaltending - Look life is bigger than hockey and I hope everything is ok with Craig Anderson - but how the heck is this going to work? The back up in injured, the back up to the back up didn't look great. Simply we NEED Andy there. You can't just loose points. They play Oilers Sunday.... then CAR (tues) VAN (thurs) BUFF (sat)... all at home. I'm guessing when they play NSH Nov 8...he COULD be available. That's 10 full days off. If it goes beyond that, I would be seriously questioning what's going on and even demand an answer.

(3) Special Teams - Good to see they got those PP goals... but man the Sens need to stop taking so many penalties; especially at key times.

1) Sens aren't a cap team so it won't be as bad moving forward as phaneufs contract is front loaded.

2) Crossing my fingers Hammond isn't hurt to bad.

3) Zack Smith took a bad cross checking penalty. Boucher needs to address this.
Sens almost gave up a power play goal, penalty had just expired 1 sec before puck went into there net.
