These d pairings are atrocious. Do Maatta-Daley has been a terrible pairing, both play better last game apart from each other, so obviously we should put them back together again? Schultz and Warsofsky together are gonna blow.

In season, I didn't think an organization could go over the cap like they have done. I thought they needed to trade Fowler prior to open up the space for Lindholm. Obviously, my thoughts were inaccurate. How long do they have to become cap compliant before being punished?

Lindholm isn't on the active roster. So, they're not over the cap.

They probably have a week or two to do something. The visa will take that long.

What's the deal with Despres? Are his concussions going to force early retirement? I'm seeing pretty serious comments from Murray on twitter but it also sounds like it could be non-hockey related?

I read this to the tune of Weezer's 2005 hit single Perfect Situation.

The Ducks put Thompson on LTIR today to make room. Despres is there as well. So they are compliant for now. Need a move if they get healthy though.

I'm getting more on board with this. Maatta worries me.

Although for this year's team, Maatta should fit better because Daley plays better on the right side.

Got a feeling Fowler won't end the season as a duck. Could see the Devils trading a pick for him. With the rise of Zacha, they're cooking with fire up in Jersey. They're an improved top 4 defensive unit away from being competant.

Our organization is stronger on the right side than the left. If we traded away Maatta I'd be real worried about our second pairing left flank. It's basically all on Pouliot at that point. At least on the right side once Daley's gone we have probability on our side between Schultz, Bengsston, and Prow, all though Prow is in the ECHL right now which isn't good for his prospects of being an NHL player next year, if at all, let alone a top 4 d man.

Speaking of Prow, what gives? Didn't he have a strong camp? How'd he (frank) up so badly already to get sent to Wheeling?

I still don't see much scoring from them absent Hall and one or two others. Think they need to add a skilled forward.

They have their top line set for years with Hall and Zacha. Filling out a second line shouldn't be super difficult. Putting a legit top 4 together at this juncture is more important than adding more skill forwards.

Oh and just saying, i think he was sent to Wheeling to get playing time, right now there really is a log jam of D-Men that are sitting and they want him to play.

They went a little overkill with the vet d signings. That's a tough group for a rookie to crack.

Bengtsson and Prow have a lot to prove at the AHL level first. I do like Schultz, but not sure he's a top 4 guy.

Agree about us being stronger on the right though. Letang, Daley, Schultz is a nice group. I'm a little worried that Maatta isn't bouncing back and it will be easier to find a LHD than a RHD.

Our middle pair defensemen seems like a weakness in the long-term. Trouba anchoring that pairing solces the harder half. Whether it is Maatta or Trouba there, think we probably need someone from outside though.

Exactly, right now there are 8 d-men, include Warsofsky thats 9 and still one extra with a healthy line up in Pitt.

The fact that they are making sure that Prow is in a line up somewhere shows there intentions of developing him.
