Spot on, Todd. I know there are Devils fans that fell in love with Auvitu's shot in the opener, but Severson is clearly the better powerplay QB. Love the opportunity he's (finally) been given.

Not sure what's up with Cammy. Seems to be losing the puck each shift...almost like his stick is too long for him. He just looks...lost in a sense.

The third periods are a concern. They'll all downplay it but it is what it is. This team isn't good enough, experienced enough, or disciplined enough to sit back and shut teams down.

You guys will be happy with Hall, he will score lots for you and you needed some offensive threat in your lineup. Larsson has been OK with Edmonton but sure miss Hall and his energy.

This teams offense will continue to blossom. Rico and cammy will start finding the back of the net soon. Once that happens, watch out! My one real concern with this team is their break out from our own zone. I feel like every game so far this season it's been a struggle to clear the puck out when teams apply pressure or to even skate it out our own zone. These two things lead to turn over and eventually too much pressure for cory to keep the puck out the net. IMO, that's our weakest area of play and biggest need for improvement.

I know he's had a rough start, but I'm not on the trade Cam train. Been a while since we've had any kind of scoring depth and if he gets going soon (and doesn't get hurt, which admittedly is a stretch) we should be able to throw out 3 scoring lines, and his salary isn't going to prevent them from signing anyone.

I see Fowler as a medium sized fish. Kinda like a 10# Pike. You want to catch one obviously but it shouldn't be terribly hard to do.

In all seriousness if Anaheim continues with their slow start and Hampus keeps holding out, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Fowler's price drop to affordable levels.

Nice to see hall have instant success with the Devils. I watch a ton of Edmonton games and the last two years it was very apparent there were many nights he was the only one giving it 100%. I felt bad for him when the trade went down but it looks like the trades helping both teams and players involved.

It's not a matter of Auvitu vs. Severson. The point is Frenchie has been a great find by Shero even if he's a second power play guy and lower pairing defenseman. He plays very smart and is an asset to this team.

Camm is off, but it's taken him some time to get going in the two other seasons as I remember it, so I'm not worried yet. Palms too. So not time to panic, yet.

Camm will be a Las Vegas Knights/Gamblers/Aces/Blackjacks member by 2017. Doubt we get anybody to trade for him. 5 mill a yr for two more years while he declines is a hard sell.

Idk, I think Zajac will be down there. Yes, I think Zajac is currently playing better hockey, however, he is unfortunately overpaid and is signed for 4 more years! Meaning that once we should be done our re-build, he will be the main anchor on the team
