1. Veteran Brandon Prust is still skating with the club and is likely waiting out a roster move to open up a spot.

Why?

2. Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported on Saturday that Anaheim is looking to get Lindholm signed for below the $5.4 Million AAV for Jones and Ristolainen, while the defenseman is looking for more than $5.4 Million on a long-term deal.

I hope so; he's better than Jones and Risto. Why are the Ducks so stupid?

Didn't think Michalek played poorly, he actually looked better to me than Bozak or JVR to me.
That said I'm glad Brown gets a shot, all the kids have outplayed the vets so far.

Time to get 'pump n dumpin'. JVR to the left of Matthews and Nylander for the next month please. Then trade him for that dman.

Thought Michalek looked molasses-like in games so far compared to the youths so not too sad to see him depart for other accommodations. I think Babs definitely loves the hard working role player over the aging scorer who is no longer scoring....MM was of no use on that line and didn't seem to have the wheels or drive to play 4th line.

I wonder if there might be a deal to be made with Anahiem that wouldn't be the big ticket move for Lindholm / Fowler but perhaps Theodore and a cap dump like Bieksa??? Wouldn't cost a marquee player (I assume) and from all accounts Theodore would've made the Ducks squad but for all of the veteran D the Ducks have...

of the 'vets' Michalek has actually looked best of all.

Martin without the long hair has lost his touch.
Same goes for Komarov without the moustache/beard.

I say we have a talk with Lou and make him change his mind (it's kind of old-fashioned to have such rules... does he not trade for any players with a tattoo by the way?)

Well, agree to disagree but I hadn't seen much of anything from him that warranted him being thought of as anything more than filler. I am also disappointed in Komorov so far but with him at least I know what he 'normally' brings and expect it will start showing soon enough. Michalek though, just seemed square peg round hole. Not good enough to be playing that high in the rotation.
