Coaching staff clearly wanted to see what they had in Speers which is why he played on every different line. Sending him down was the right call.

Good for Zacha getting chances on the first line. He's made some nice plays on offense, but his two-way game has really impressed me. His poise is terrific.

Hall-Zacha-Palmieri is a line I hope stays together

I don't consider Parenteau to be a quality shooter. He's more of a set up winger than goal scorer for me. Doesn't generate a significant # of shots, speed issue but I really like him as a complementary player. Makes those he plays with better. He was a great addition for NJ & I'm still shocked NYI didn't let him play with Tavares & try to rekindle the magic they had once.

Now NYI brings back Bernier. Couldn't Capuano just get hit by a bus or something. He drives me insane with his player personal decissions. Granted Snow has to pull the trigger. How many checkers does 1 team need.

I agree they looked good. I also wouldn't mind seeing maybe Rico at that wing spot with Zacha and Hall.

Another player that is looking more confident every game is Severson. I think he will be just fine in that role. I think we win tomorrow vs Yotes

This team is gonna be good. Just give it 10-15 games and the devils are gonna find their stride. As soon as hynes stops juggling lines constantly and lets lines devlop chemistry we're gonna take off!

As we could already see Hall paying dividends, yes he scored the goal, but did you guys noticed the great defensive play he made in front of the net???
Zacha with Hall is a great move. I would like to see the lines as this...

I think Santini gets a game, but ultimately he should spend the majority of the year in the A. I would see blandisi as the first call up in terms of forwards. A win tomorrow would be great to try to build some momentum into a tough home weekend with the hawks and lightning. PS merrill should NOT be in the lineup when back, and i am not sure with Luke fits..

The one bright light to this schedule is somehow before election day the devils will be finished with the lightning. November is going to be the make or break month for the devils 10 road games and only 4 home games. They need to stay afloat the are basically home the whole month of feburary.

We have to score more than 2 goals in a game sooner or later right? AZ is the perfect team to do it against. Domingue is garbage.

Enjoy it man. I can't wait to get to a game. On the road for work though so probably won't be for a few more weeks. Speaking of the schedule, it's brutal for a long while. We got a 4 game west coast trip against dallas, ANH, LA & SJ. I mean damn! The only relief is back to back home and home series vs the sabres and canes. The schedule makers wanted us buried early this year!

apparently in an interview Zacha did he told his interviewers that the first 2 games he really just focused on not making mistakes(and he looked good). He was told by the coaching staff to worry less about not making mistakes and focus on offensive production. I dont think we've seen what Zacha can do at 100%. One of Zacha's best attributes when he was a draft prospect was his shot. I think in the next few games were gonna see a different Zacha(for the better). Physically he's keeping up better than some of the vets we have on the team. I dont think he'll struggle very much with playing with Hall.
