Adam Proteau: New life-after-hockey program crucial for the modern-day, younger NHL The NHL and NHL Players' Association announced Thursday a new program designed to help retired players adjust to life after hockey. And considering how much younger the league is getting – pushing players into retirement at an earlier age – the league and PA deserve kudos for trying to help.

Ya those who don't go the college route (not many)do have alot to consider, some again very few in terms of percentage get into broadcasting, others their own business, and some the coaching, scouting route. But it's very crucial the nhl does prepare these young athletes for the life after the spot light! Again thanks Adam for an interesting read!
