I have to give Jimmy credit. He stole this game..it was all Rangers. The Wings defense is just awful. More turnovers than a Dutch bakery. But as Wings fans, we've been accustomed over the years to seeing opposition goalies steal wins from the Red Wings. Thanks for proving me wrong Jimmy. For one night anyway.

I dont think anyone doubts his skill, but his mental toughness seems to waiver... causing question marks.... nice to see him close the door, hopefully this happens more often for him.

But yeah, our D... yikes. Not sure any goalie could keep up that type of pace really.

I only got to see 2 periods of Red Wings hockey so far this year (vs Ottawa). Can someone enlighten me why Vanek is only getting around 12 minutes of ice time?

I tought he looked really good in those two periods that I saw. And he has 6 pts in 4 games.

I dream of what it would be like if the Wings had a true #1 dman, heck at this point I would take a true #2.

If we think it's going to be a long season, I can only imagine what Mrazek and Jimmy must be thinking after what we have seen after 4 games

I don't think he's known for being very good defensively, so that cuts into his defensive zone faceoffs...and this team will have a lot of defensive zone faceoffs this year. He also isn't the greatest skater, so he can't kill penalties. Those two reason alone will eat away at some of the potential ice time.

You do realize Dekeyser has been the worst player for DET so far this season right?

Dekeyser isn't worth what we gave him contract wise imo.
Jimmy played unreal, probably his best game in 3 years. Holland should be aggresivley trying to move him to la who are almost desperate to bring in a goalie. But seeing it's holland he will end up trading the younger better goalie lol.
