I would say we were lucky to pull out the win based on the non-call on Mony in OT... I was amazed there was no penalty on that play

That was a push that happens 100 times a game on a dman holding the puck. This instance, it was an unprepared forward that crumpled into the boards. Thats why it wasn't called.

I thought it was a good non call on OT ...need to be stronger on the puck there

I was amazed there was no call on Ristolainen who cross checked Monahan in the chops shortly before Monahan cross checked Reinhart. Maybe the ref felt he owed Mony a pass on one.

If it was JG who was crosschecked I think their would be some people up in arms.

I think we got away with one, but it did not seem like Buffalo touched the puck in OT so I am OK with how things turned out.

No I want him to play his game ...I was just being a pessimist ...I'm sure he will be just fine

It wasn't called because it was a make up non call for mony getting a stick to the chops earlier. I'm a flames fan through and through and think monys a great , and definitely not dirty player, but that was a clear penalty. But it happens, refs are humans to and we got the fortunate side of that non call. Tkachuk played a solid all around game, his few discrepancies were definitely dismismable by his 3rd period play alone. Was pretty disappointed in bennetts game but he's a young guy, so I'll give him that as leeway. Nonetheless he's not one to shy from the spotlight and needs to kick it up a notch, in all facets. Here's hoping gultz and Co. Keep Wideman and that wtf signing in the pressbox. I'm a fan of wides, seems like a great guy et al, but damn it looks like he's lost a step or 2

Yeah the kid is looking pretty good. One of the announcers thought he was favoring his shoulder after his first big hit. I died inside a little.
