If they were playing anyone else, Elliott probably starts. Coaches often let goalies start against their old teams.

I live in the Eastern time zone and I love when Flames are playing out east. Given our record in Anaheim I normally don't have much reason to bother watching past the 2nd period.

Something that I am hoping we can finally fix this year.

Here's hoping that Kulak grabs a top 6 role on this team. The Flames need to get younger, cheaper and more mobile on their bottom pairing. And Chad Johnson is trending upward ... would love to see him make a case for starter on this team.

Todd Cordell loves the Sabres.... I agree that we aren't the best 5v5 team, but shot totals aside, the Sabres dominated puck possession for a majority of the game vs Edmonton (a team that recently smoked the Flames twice) so it would be nice if you showed just a smidgen of respect for them. Looking forward to the game tonight

I just don't get it....Todd posted the possession numbers that show they did not dominate possession then you say "shots aside they dominated possession". Someone is lying!!!

Wouldn't read too much into it at this point. It's his former team and I imagine he was slotted in to start the game regardless.
