2 games in and the leafs are apparently already thinking about cutting ties with the guy they just signed for 5 years.
I like it.

Yes, I am aware. Just writing what I am hearing. There are concerns.

Flames gave up something like 10 breakaway's in those 2 games with Edmonton...several to McJesus. No way is Elliott under any scrutiny. |

"...Also making things dicey, newly acquired goalies, Ben Bishop in Calgary and Frederick Andersen in Toronto got off to very shaky starts opening the door to questions..."
I can totally agree. Ben Bishop was a non-factor in trying to get the Flames off to a hot start. - Mashadar
Yes, obviously I am in an alternate reality where the Flames decide to make that trade and NOT a Elliot last second. Bishop thought he was heading to Calgary for sure. Either that or all this DayQuil I am taking is helping my already typo free world be all the more interesting. I am aware Elliot is the goalie in Calgary. He of the very red equipment is who I meant. |

Thought about the other day when Quick went down that TBL might send Bish. Problem is like Ek said, if Vasilevskiy goes down then Tampa is done. LA is in trouble. |

As I wrote. They aren't making a move tomorrow. They owe him a longer look than this. But if there is one thing that Babcock Hates it's goalie issues |

I dont know a ton about Miller and Skjei but on paper it looks good. I dont even think the Jets would want Lindberg ( they are loaded with young forwards ), that might be over kill, if they do need more they'd probably prefer another Defensive prospect or pick.
what type of players are Miller and Skjei?

don't see many teams itching to help out the kings' goalie situation...and frankly any deal the kings make, should be one to shed salary. improving the goalie situation this year will likely cost assets and/or picks in the next draft, neither of which are that appetizing.
lombardi needs to recognize this team simply doesn't have the depth to mortgage more future to make a run. wait it out and see what zatkoff/budaj can do in the interim. and for the love of god, try giving some of the prospects in ontario a real chance to show they can play instead of plugging the lineup with the likes of greene, seto (great story, but holding kids back), etc. |

problem is the Kings have nothing of value to move out. If we part with our first, kempe, or gravel, I will flip out. *Anticipates 1st, Kempe, Gravel for Bishop later today * |

There's also Jimmy Howard of the Red Wings who has been available. Though his contract might scare bidders off. |

Let’s be sensible about this. Andersen is not going anywhere anytime soon. The leafs are stuck with him for better or worse.
What’s the rumored package for trouba?

Miller is a gritty forward with 20-25 potential I believe. Battles hard and goes into the traffic areas well and throws the body and skates well. Skjei is a terrific skater with size. Has shutdown potential and moves the puck relatively well. |

Most of Elliott's success was the defense in front of him. The Blues as a whole inflated Elliott's numbers to the point that he statistically looks elite, but he has many glaring deficiencies, deficiencies the Blues' defense helped mask. I've always really liked Elliott and was sad to see him go, but if it weren't for the Blues picking him up when they did, I don't know if he'd even be in the NHL anymore, certainly not as a starter. |

Elliott's a dud, he sucked in Ottawa...of course he looked good in STL ( who wouldn't ) Calgarys doomed IMO |

thats kind of what I thought. I like the deal, especially with the Jets losing Little to injury. |
