Marchand was dope, but what about Backes and Pasta? That line had all the goals. Backes has a great debut.

Krejci's line seemed a little meh. Hopefully Backes dropping back to the 2nd gets them back to the production of preseason.

Also think we cannot afford to have Ogara and Carlo in the lineup. Need some more maturity on the backend. Too much immaturity I think. Miller is basically a rookie as well. Need someone sound on D

The problem for Morrow is that they're kinda loaded on the left side with Chara, Krug, and JML. O'Gara can play the right side without much of a drop in his game, which is something Morrow has kinda struggled with. However, wouldn't shock me to see them shuffle some guys around to get Morrow a game in on this trip.

Another reason for me to like the Bruins. Backes. Like i really needed another reason to root for the Bruins. Marchand is turning into a frickin beast.

How did Backes play though? You guys like his style?

Bergeron is one of the best out there. Rask isn't too bad himself.

Backes is historically a notoriously slow starter each season. Glad to see him endear himself to Bruins fans early.

I'm not sure anyone here is really overreacting. A lot of "he played a great game" etc etc. Not much projection on to what this means for him and the rest of the season.

I just would like see him get closer to what he was a few years ago. Right now he is the Clay Buccholz of the Bruins and that contract looks like an albatross.
