He's definitely not a top pairing guy, but AMac did have a solid preseason (in the games that I caught, at least). He was miles better than a year ago. He'll always have that contract as a dark cloud over his head, but he definitely belongs on the roster.

I so enjoyed the summer conversations about which one of Manning, Schultz, and AMac should be in our lineup. It was a pick your poison type thing, and the hope was none of them.

This is the narrative the beats have used. He had a solid preseason in the first few games where it was AHL/junior players. Then he regressed (besides PK work) to his typical level of play in the last few games, when the lineups moved more towards NHL lineups. He hasn't changed. He's the usual AMac, same as he has been his whole time here and before.

No, it's not the narrative the beats have used, it's the tired narrative that you have used, with a complete lack of objectivity towards the player. He played well last year once he was called up and helped the Flyers push towards and make the playoffs. Then you blamed MacDonald when Gostisbehere struggled due to an issue with his hip, and his own dip in play. That continues to this season, where MacDonald had a strong camp and pre season. Here is the narrative of his coach, Dave Hakstol
“Mac has had a really good camp,” coach Dave Hakstol said. “He’s played a lot of hockey and he’ll get tomorrow [at Rangers] off. He’s been excellent.
“Whether he has been on right side or left side or whatever partner he was with, I think he has had an excellent camp. … He’s been versatile, which is a key strength of our team.”

You better back that up with a quote from Hakstol saying AMac sucks!

Now we get ALL of them! - Mononoke
A lot of that seems to be happening lately, at least with the Flyers it won't be for 4 years
Now let's play the who gets sent down after we get healthy game. Please send down Vandevelde and Manning. I honestly thought this was a really mean joke when I saw they made the team.

Amac is an average third pairing Dman in this league. Not interested in the typical coachspeak that's laid out here.

They're the boyd Gordon of videos but when we're this desperate for flyers hockey... - YuenglingJagr
I saw every preseason game, follow along religiously, got the wonderful satisfaction of seeing Provy and Konecny make the team. I can't get more hyped haha. A lame video certainly won't get me any more pumped.

I don't think it's a violation. The guy made the video himself. It was posted to You Tube by him. And you've linked to it, so he gets the clicks and the credit. But we have something to talk about here.
