Thank You Carol,

Horvat will see some chances tonight playing CGY's 4th line.
Dissapointed to not see Stecher get another look tonight. Hopeful for the last game.

yeah he's been fun to watch - he definitely brings a level of excitement that the Canucks have lacked for a few years on the backend.

Its a shame the expansion factors may force him out of the lineup, cus he's proven he's NHL ready and with his level of skill and hockey sense, the best place for him to develop is with the big boys. Biega should be sent home.

I am trying to see this as a positive. If Biega and Sbisa stay with the club, are they not the only ones eligible for expansion? If Pedan clears, he comes up after the season at the 6/7?

Does anyone know who are eligible from the Canucks on Defense?

Basically, if the Canucks don't get Biega and/or Sbisa across that 70-game threshold, they'd be forced to expose one of Edler, Tanev or Gudbranson—or to trade for another defenseman that would fit the criteria.

It's bad news for Stecher and Pedan but it is good that the team is planning ahead!

Thanks Carol!

Quotes not working for me.

I see Stecher and Pedan ahead of Sbisa and Biega as far as depth. This is the only thing I could think of regarding the decisions management just made.

Honestly, I think this guy is innocent. Why would he throw a beer when he could easily use his creepy mind powers to do it?

So... Horvat is a 4th line center now?

I was pretty sure he'd be #2 this year for the nucks.

His employer offered a $1000 reward for anyone who could identify the guy.

This is what is confusing to me: The team has made it clear they want to be competitive, they are bringing in Gudbranson, Eriksson in order to give themselves the best chance of winning, but now they are leveraging certain players in order to position themselves for the expansion draft... while we're in October?

If there is one thing we know about the Canucks its that their defense will be injured, opportunity to get into games periodically over the season. Also many suspect that at best the team is contending for the wildcard, so if a major injury derails the season, why not then call up Biega for the last 20 games of the season then?

I can't see how people do not see Horvat's ultimate upside. Yes, the Centre position is pretty logged jammed at the moment but I am pretty sure every other team would want him. He is far from over.
