IMO both Tanev and Morrissey played well enough to get a chance to get into this second game. Roslovic, again, my humble opinion needs some physical maturity and should be sent to London, not the moose. |

I have a few gripes here:
A: Dano has been solid at the NHL level as a RW, producing at a 50+ point pace on the 2nd line in Columbus and excelling in 3rd line minutes here. He was even good as a centre at the Worlds. He has also struggled every single time he's been placed on the left side. Stupid decision.
B: Strait will not, should not, and (for the sake of the season) cannot play a shift at the NHL level for us. The defence will be: Chairot-Byfuglien, Enstrom-Myers, Morrissey-Postma, Stuart.
C: Best of luck to Kyle Connor. Hope the guy makes it. Thought I'd be positive with C. |

I've watched a couple scimages and the exhibition game. some early thoughts, with Lowry and Armia having to clear waivers it would make sense they have an early edge for roster spots but in my opinion both have been outplayed by Copp, Dano, Tanev and Petan.
yes, Rexy, i'm going to say it again!! Postma is not an NHl D.
Stanley has looked horrible in practice and scrimage and needs to be sent down before his confidence is shot. I think Connor beat him clean in 5 staright one on one drills. Plus he needs to work on his backward skating. Sorry, just my opinion
looking forward to tonights game!! |

I disagree with you Ross77. Postma is a NHL defenseman.
On the other hand I am really happy as to how all of us Jets fans have rallied behind one another on the whole Trouba issue.

Lowry was the one guy I saw against Calgary and thought yes it's only the first exhibition game, but he should still have been driving much more of the play. Which he did very little of..

Kyle Connor looked great. Good game from De Leo, and Copp as well. While the Jets were $hitting the bed in the first, Hellebyuck was the standout. Calm, great positioning, solid play. |

Lowry was slow off the start, fell behind play. This happened last year and I doubt Pomo is as patient this year. |

Copp's faceoff skills and all-around potential will bump him ahead of Lowry.
That would leave us without a big physical centerman. Tough call.

I was really happy with Burmistrov's game last night. Hopefully spending the entire summer with Adam Oates pays off for him. He has shown commitment to growing his game and is only going to get better. |

Guys i'm having my fantasy league keeper draft tonight and I need some inside info.
Does Kyle Connor make the team this year? I really like him but I can't afford a guy that won't play. |

Really? how so? he continued to show what he always does, hold onto the puck too long until he loses it, still shows no finishing touch or NHL quality shot. He made a couple of nice passes but really looked no better than any other forward playing. I dont see it. I think with Burmi, what you see is what you get now. I'd rather his ice time go to Petan, Dano or De Leo at this point |

tough call!! i'd put the odds at 60/40 he makes it but will not be at all surprised if he spends the first 1-2 months on the Moose

How does 6'2" 205 Copp leave us without a big centerman? What about 6'3" 207 Scheifele? Who among Crosby, Malkin, Bonino, and Cullen is considered big? |

Malkin is 6'3. |

I did say "big physical" centerman.
Schiefele and Copp are not exactly physical players.

Further comment - not at all concerned about Pittsburgh's centers. We play in the west, where they are bigger and tougher down the middle. |
