What would help the Oilers more is if we actually put guys who can play hockey on McDavid's line... Not guys who have to depend on him in order to contribute. Yak needs to go. My mom would probably be effective on McDavid's line... Should we put her on his wing as well?

If that happens, that's fine... We have other options. I'd put Versteeg ahead of Yak, but if by some miracle Yak does well this year without being spoon-fed opportunities, than maybe he could slot into McDavid's line... Hopefully Eberle doesn't get hurt though... Hopefully he has a healthy year, and Puljujarvi can come in next year and challenge for that 1st line RW slot.

If your Mom was on a line with McDavid and that line created goals as frequently as when Eberle was on the line then I would say sign her up! She can play with McDavid and Eberle can drive the 2nd line.

If your Mom was on a line with McDavid and that line created goals as frequently as when Eberle was on the line then I would say sign her up! She can play with McDavid and Eberle can drive the 2nd line.

I guess I'm just a fan of players earning their spots... Otherwise it's a good incentive for crappier players. Under-perform and get rewarded by playing with one of the top players in the world... It's not a bad gig. If they do it, hopefully some GM is dumb enough to overpay and send us a good d-man for him.
