Whether you love or hate the Price and term of the Marchand deal, Sweeney had to do it. His moves have been subpar and if he let Marchand hit the open market, then Sweeney is out of a job. Had to happen. Good and necessary move. |

I don't know. Johnny can't really get any shorter. Marchand is older than Johnny. Johnny will get a taller I mean bigger contract. No disrespect. Johnny is one of my favourite players. |

Glad to see the fanboy idiocy can be put to rest about Marchand immediately heading to Pittsburgh because he scored a few times in a sideshow tournament playing alongside Crosby.
I'm certainly not a Bruins fan, but I like this signing by Boston... say what you will about their recent moves, but there's a pretty clear structure in place on their forward lines with Bergeron-Marchand, Krejci-Pastrnak, and Backes providing centre depth.
