Wouldn't that put Trouba in the same boat in Buffalo? We acquired Kulikov because we needed to upgrade our LD spot, now you want to trade him for a RD who would be behind Ristolainan and Bogosian. I suppose he could be #2 RD and bump Bogo to #3. Just seems to me that is an awful lot to give up for a 3-4 Dman

The jets would make out far better if someone gave him an offer sheet than either of those two trades.

This makes less than zero sense for Buffalo or Trouba. Buffalo acquired Trouba to address their need for a left side defenceman. Trouba wants out because he's trapped behind two right defencemen. So Buffalo acquiring him works against both. Put some thought into this instead of deciding Buffalo needs to acquire every single player who may or may not be available.

Nothing makes sense here. Trouba doesn't fit into the Sabres D mix. He is a promsing, young D man, so it would take more than the usual "bag of pucks" to get him. Georges is nothing more than a 5/6 D man at this point of his career. Kulikov has never lived up to his potential when he was drafted in 2009. The only names missing are Ennis and Moulson.
Winnipeg is in no rush to trade Trouba. When they do, it will be for a good, fair return. Not a bunch of misfit toys from Buffalo.

So who would the Sabres protect at the end of the season? Makes no sense to acquire players when you are just going to loose them to LV.
