EK, my sources tell me Phoenix is trying hard to make a deal for Trouba.

One less anthem to delay the start of the game is fine with me. None of those guys get to hear their anthem at the beginning of an NHL game either.

Cheering mad for Europe.. Neither team is a threat to Canada but it would be nice to see these outcast of other countries play for a championship.. They would never ever ever ever get that chance in the Olympics with their own country.

Sweden could beat Canada in a one game winner take all I guess.. They have the edge on defense and goaltending. And defense wins championships.. But 2 out of 3? Not a chance

Congrats Canada.. Once again. Canada owns hockey. And before jealous Americans post something back, who cares you own every other sport besides hockey tennis and lacrosse.

Trouba ends up in the US which is where he wants to be (understandable).

That video went together better than it had any right to, but if they did want an anthem for Team Europe, they should have played the anthem of the European Union, Ode to Joy. Much simpler, most if not all of the Team Europe nations are EU members (I'm not looking that up now) and it's recognized as appropriate at diplomatic events, so there's no reason why it wouldn't work here.

Not sure the Jets deal within the same division. A winnipeg media member threw out a measuring stick trade that revolved around Trouba to the Flyers for Provorov. More would be involved but that is basically what the Jets are looking for. This wasn't a rumour, just a comp of what Winnipeg will be asking for from other teams.

Ditch the national anthems before games. International, NHL, anything. To me national anthems are just jingles for the government. Everybody pay tribute to great leader!

I think Provorov and Trouba would be two pieces in a larger trade! I love Provorov's game.

For Pete sake leave poor Hamonic out of this mess. His family situation is resolved and has no interest in leaving Isles.

Hamonic is better, established, hasn't even entered his prime and will be cheaper than Trouba's upcoming contract. Not happening end of story.

How about the unified teams national anthem at the 92 Lillehammer games?

Switzerland is not in the EU.

Edit; neither is Norway. I was going to add that Belarus is also not in the EU but was then surprised to see that there are no players from Belarus on team Europe.
