I think they'd let Kinkaid go. He didn't really play that amazing last year, Wedge is younger as well.

They'll take their chance and hope to pass one of them through waivers. Kincaid should make it through though, I'm not sure if any team's goalie depth is so bad that he'd be an upgrade.

Actually just looked, Arizona, Edmonton and SJ might have backup issues. But who knows who could have injuries between now and Oct. 12th.

I know it's Ek, but what exactly would it cost us to offer sheet Kucherov?

I don't like Pietila playing on the Zacha line. I'd rather him on the 4th line if any and maybe someone with more offense to contribute to Zacha's growth. I also don't like Gazdic playing with two NHL players. Hopefully it's not a sign of him actually making the team. That said, I would be happy with icing those defensive pairings although I'd prefer Santini in there.

Devils can't. They don't have their 3rd from the Ruutu trade. In order to offer sheet, you need your original picks, even though we have Colorado's 3rd, we can't give an offer sheet because it's not our original pick.

Devils would have to trade with Carolina and include like an extra pick or some player for the 3rd, then make the offer sheet.

In order for the Devils to offer sheet him the compensation would have to be four first rounders, meaning the offer would have to be 9.4 million a year or more. Ek is full of doo doo on this one. The only way the Devils would get Kucherov would be to offer a trade for his rights, then sign him.

Just trade them Hall.
