I am surprised NJ fans are not a bit offset as to why exactly Taylor is bitter about being traded to the Devils.
I know there is no real slight there but at the same time it's not exactly a full endorsement of his new digs.
Any which way NJ is going to love Hall. Absolute pleasure to watch. |

Doubt the resentment has anything to do with the destination, but more the process and timing. I could be wrong though. Either way, NJ will love Hall. |

also from Hall per NJ.com
"Just the way everything went down, I still hold a bitter resentment towards them," Hall said about the Oilers."
"It was a whirlwind," Hall said, "but I think it's going to be a day I look back on, and I think it's going to be a really good thing for me."
"But most of all, I'm excited about what I can do here (in New Jersey) and the team I can be on," Hall said. "I think it's a great change of scenery. I wish the players on that team all the best, but I'm focused and excited about what I can do here." |

Oilers were and are ramping up to be a good deep team with alot of talent. TH had fought through the management effing up for the past 6 years and there was a bit of feeling like he had helped the team get to where they are.
They shipped him out to a team that is where the Oilers were a few years ago, but with no Draisatl or McDavid coming along.
Things were good in the 90's with broduer, stevens, neidermayer, etc. But lately the team seems to be on a tight budget, and yes I know the Cinderella story of 2012. |

NJ fans are just happy to have a true and elite offensive talent.
Cammalleri is a great player but he can't stay healthy.
Henrique could put up anywhere from 15 to 35 goals next year and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised. He's been a really opportunistic shooter in his career. He's had S% above 14% 3 times in his 5 seasons in the league; the two times he didn't were still above 12% and one of those years was his rookie year and the other was when he was playing through a wrist injury that later required surgery.
Palmieri was a nice addition but he's not a guy who's going to create a lot of offense on his own. |

Todd, I dunno what is up with you.
When the Flames got their "steal of a goalie," you put out like 5-6 consecutive blogs detailing how the Flames made out like bandits.
Now, once the Devils have gotten Hall, he's been the subject of like 80% of the last 10-15 blogs.

sunk a good bit of years into EDM and gone when the light is kind of showing at the end of the tunnel and there's a new arena, I'd be bitter no matter where I was if I was dealt to wherever |

So... cory was the better goalie for USA and he only played the third period in the last game. had a 1.00 save percentage....That is why the team sucked. Haynes prob did that on purpose. What a joke this team was. poor coaching. |

although Quick and Bishop weren't great, goaltending was far from the reason why the team sucked, in the 2 games that matter they scored a total of 2 goals... |

Nothing could have saved that team. The guys picking the squad were trying to overload a dynamic which ended up leaving glaring weaknesses in their game. In an NHL season, you have time to shore up those weaknesses... not so in a tiny tournament like this. |

After watching that sloppy mess and not having any real control over it, Hynes is going to be a bulldozer in camp I bet. Winning every little puck battle is one of his re-occurring themes. Team USA as a group consistently didn't win those close in, tight little puck battles from what I saw, and for a 'grit-er done' roster to get beat in the areas that they were supposed to excel is a lot of why they went 0-3.
Hall and now Palmieri, Schneider and even Hynes will be looking to kick some ass to begin the year after this frustrating off season. Sucks for them but good for us |

The 5vs5 points Hall brings will be most welcomed.
I still can't believe we have Taylor Hall on our team. |
