Lol his skating is above average, but yeah definitely soft. Honestly I dont know what you mean by could be "lethal". Near 40 goal scorers aren't exactly common.

Max is not that good of a skater? He's certainly not a power forward but to question his skating is a bit much... and also, could be lethal? He's top 5 in goals the last 3 seasons, pretty lethal, mostly because of his poor skating abilities I'm sure

Yikes. Watch more closely next time. He's a superb skater. That's not his problem.

Sure they would... the guy scores over 30 goals every year, kills penalties, near the top of the league in GWG all while being very underpaid by today's standards and people complain because he doesn't lay people out or fight or record 200 hits a season!

i think the modern definition of a power forward is much different.
today it's a guy who uses his size and strength down low, mostly to protect the puck and muscle other other players off the puck. and yes he has to be not only willing to go into the blue paint, but win battles there too. i think one of the prototypes of this is Crosby, even Hossa going back to his prime.
as for Pacioretty, agree that it's not his game. he is big and strong but he's soft and does everything he can to make the game as un-physical as possible. but he still produces a ton.

there's not a chance you have ever watched him play if you're saying this. he's an incredibly powerful, fast skater.

LeClair was a power forward who never had a lot of penalty minutes and wasn't particularly known for big hits.
