Great breakdown of Bailey's progress. I would give him an outside chance to make the big club this camp. But, I still think that Murray is not quite done yet. Or at least I'm hoping to add another D-man to the fold.

I don't think so...bailey has the nhl frame and a rock-solid foundation while seemingly having a pretty good head on his shoulders...if he can show a little finish in preseason, he may get the nod

With ROR (and his leadership capacity) in the lineup, Bailey meets the needs of the team more than Gionta does. Gionta served a purpose for two years, and earned his contract because of it, but it's time to move on.

He looked pretty good the other night against Boston's prospects. I thought it was visible that he was ready to make the jump in comparison to his teammates.

Guhle had a rough night. Nylander had a rough 1st period. Baptiste is finally using his speed again. Hopefully he continues to do that and it elevates his game in Rochester this year. His speed alone would be nice to have alongside Jack. But he has to earn that spot.

Unless Fasching blows them away in camp, he probably would be best served to spend this year at least in Rochester. I didn't think he looked bad last year when he was with the team, but there are areas of his game that could use some work. No need to force the issue and rush him into the lineup at this point.

It's funny, because I remember them saying that he was a bit of project when he was drafted. I liked the pick and I think he's really developed nicely. It says a lot about the guy when other teams ask for him in trade deals.

Good to see a "local" kid doing well too.
