Komarov hit was clean. That being said I hope Ekblad is ok and ready for seasons start.

Totally agree...clean hit, & no ill will towards Ekblad from Leafs or their fans.

To be honest Dan, I don't appreciate the being called questionable, & it appears

the only reason he received a concussion (or symptoms of) is where his head

made contact with afterwards (would need to see it again, but I believe he hit his

head on the boards.) The hit was clean & made with no malicious intent !!

Hit was as clean as it gets.

Unfortunate he got injured but injuries happen. No sense crying about it

What a hit. Hope Ekblad is ok for the season opener

Edit: Just read the blog. (frank)ing classic Spiegel.

Leafs fans are the worst fans in the world because of one bloke with a Toronto Strong poster.

Dan, Luongo is actually signed through 2022, not 2020.

As you mentioned, there's no way he will play another 6 years.
He'll likely spend the last 4 years on LTIR.

Same to Hendricks after that beating he got from Gudbranson (also Gudbranson is now in the same division as you guys) https://youtu.be/lxBWm2GBtMQ

The Hendricks hit was ugly but he didn't puss out after. Knew he'd have to answer for it and he did. Among my favourite Oilers.

Gudbranson isn't something I'm inclined to worry about. If he really tries to pull anything, he'll have Lucic, Maroon, Kassian, Nurse, and maybe Gryba to look forward to. If you believe mutually assured beatings will actually stop anything (which I don't), then you'll be hard pressed to find a more violent line-up than those 5.

here's hoping Reimer plays well for the Panthers - he was underappreciated in Toronto because the media, team management and a small portion of the fan base wanted to blame him for the 1st round game 7 loss to Boston a few seasons ago.

Great guy, plays his heart out and remained classy while those around him didn't.

Best of luck in Florida Optimus!

Yes you are correct. The site I sometimes use for cap stuff, Spotrac, has it wrong. Corrected. Thanks for looking out. 👍

So the nhl and the teams were whining because players got hurt at the Olympics? Now ekblad might be a potential no go for the panthers....way to go nhl reasoning

The panthers are a team that everyone should fear for many years to come. It will be fun to watch them grow as a team.

Haha very true.

I guess it's easier to deal with your players getting injured when you're raking in millions of dollars...

I think Dan takes lessons from Potvin, they actually thing Barkov is the best center in the nhl, and on and on I am a Panther fan but it even gets too much for me. Just call a spade a spade.

Reimer could be a #1 on "most teams"?

Sorry Dan, but Reimer has proven over the years to be a good goalie. An excellent acquisition for the Panthers I agree, but right now there is no single team in the NHL who would take Reimer over their current #1.
